Infallible Flowers" is the new single "If You're Cute, Will You Like Me Even If I'm a Pervert?" which is full of Mia REGINA's newfound talent, including the title track. Interview with the ED theme song

TV animation "If I'm cute, will you like me even if I'm a pervert?" (a.k.a. "Hensha-i"). It is a slapstick romantic comedy in which the main character, a boy named Keiki Kiryu, is pushed around by heroines who have rather strange sexual proclivities. The ED song is "Mubyu no Hana (Infallible Flower)" by Mia REGINA.
The slow, beautiful melody (including the picture-book style ED video) seems at first glance to be the complete opposite of the direction of the work. The slow ballad sung by the three members of Mia REGINA is a rarity, and the fact that it is the title tune has made it a favorite among the members of Mia REGINA. The members of Mia REGINA, Sasakamarisko, Wakaka Kirishima, and Kaede Uehana, all agreed that this was a "new frontier" and that it "broadened our range of expression as a unit.
On the other hand, the two coupling songs, "Mobile Battery" and "Healthy," are up-tempo and groovy numbers. These two songs were written by Mizumizu, who served as supervisor for Mia REGINA's inseparable "Aikatsu! for which Mia REGINA is inseparable, was involved in deciding the direction of these two songs.
We asked the three members of Mia REGINA to talk about these three diverse songs and "Hensha-i" in various ways.

A new aspect of Mia REGINA. Infallible Flowers," a quiet ballad

─ ─ The new song "Infallible Flowers" is a moist ballad-type song, isn't it?

Kirishima: When I first heard the song, the melody was so beautiful that I felt a little tense thinking, "I'm going to sing this. I was a bit worried about how I should sing it.

Uehana: Personally, I like ballads, so I thought, "Yay! I thought, "I've got it! But at the same time, I thought it was a difficult song, so I wondered how I should sing it. When I heard the song, I thought the A melody was difficult to get the right notes.

Kirishima Yes, the A melody is surprisingly low, but the chorus part, "Only for you," suddenly becomes high, and I was like, "Oh, it suddenly rises! I was in a hurry (laughs).

Sasakama: I thought this song was a song that I could sing with a lot of feeling in the lyrics, and it was the first song by Mia REGINA on the cover album "RE! RE!!!RE!!!" from the cover album "Tuxedo Mirage" (......). It wasn't so long ago that I said "long time ago" (laughs). I put a lot of feeling into the song.

─ You said that it was difficult for both Kirishima and Uehana to get the right notes.

Sasakama: I like difficult songs. I love the feeling I get when I can put my feelings into a difficult melody line. That's why I enjoyed recording this time.

─ ─ So it was worth singing?

Sasakama: Yes, it was. Also, I like to put a lot of words on a single note. For example, the "kure" in "Do you like me?" is only one note. I think that's what Kaede Ura-san was talking about when she said "it's difficult. One note has two syllables, so you have to say it very fast (laughs).

Uehana. When I try to say it too fast, I end up biting my words (embarrassment).

Sasakama: But it's like "kuremashuka," and the bitten version is cute too!

─ ─ This kind of tune for the ED of a slightly eccentric romantic comedy called "Hensha Suki" may seem unexpected, but if you look closely at the lyrics, you can feel that they are getting close to the heroines' inner selves.

Sasakama: The way the heroines fall in love with Keikin is beautifully depicted in the song, so when I think that the song features that, I think, "That's really cool! I think so. When I saw the first episode, I was like, "What? (laugh), but once I got emotionally involved with the characters, my impression changed.

Uehana: The girls in "Weird Likes" are quite aggressive, asking Keiki, "How do you like me? They are quite aggressive. The lyrics of this song, "Will you like me?" The lyrics of this song, "Will you like me? I was thinking that there are many similarities between us.

Kirishima: The "paranoid love" that the lyrics evoke. I feel the obsession of the heroines. They have deep hobbies and tastes that they can't tell anyone, and they usually hide them, but in front of Keiki, they come out. I feel like I can't hide them from Keiki. So I think this song can be a theme song for any heroine.

─ ─ What is the most impressive phrase in the song?

Kirishima: I was surprised by the first phrase, "Lolita, Marquis de Sade, forbidden love. When I actually sang it, it was rather beautiful. And the second part I am singing, "I don't mind if you tie me up with your eyes," looks normal if you just look at the lyrics, but since there is the Marquis de Sade in the first part, it has a slightly different meaning. ......? I feel like it's a little bit different. I like it a lot (laughs).

Uehana: I really like the way the melody starts with "Wearing a Dress of Shame," and then a different melody comes in, and then it gets really exciting, and then it changes to something quiet right after "Bare Emotions" (laughs). I like that part as a melody, and I also like it as a phrase in the lyrics, so it was easy to put my feelings into it when recording.

Sasakama: In the beginning of the first verse, there is a lyric "Glass shoes must be so tight that they will break" and at the end of the second verse, there is a phrase "I can't hide them because they are so clear. You can apply the glass slipper to the transparency of your feelings! I can apply the glass slipper to the transparency of my feelings! I was so moved by that. I was so impressed. I really like the sense of retrieving the flag of the phrase "glass slipper.

─ ─ You said that "the sound was difficult" and "technically it was worth singing".

Kirishima: I tried various things, such as "Should I try to sing it in a more mature way? Kirishima: I tried various things. But the one that worked the best was the sweeter one. I think the sweetness of the song makes it more erotic. Even when I sing it myself, I feel a bit crazy. I was singing in a very sweet way, but I was also giving pressure to the singer, saying, "Will you like me? I feel like I'm putting pressure on the other person. ...... (laughs). (Laughs.) I think that's what makes the song so fitting.

Uehana: I myself don't say to people, "Watch me! I myself am not the type of person who strongly asks others, "Watch me! I sang the song as if I was trying my best to force myself on them (laughs).

(laughs) ─ ─ It is a calm song, so I feel it is difficult to "force myself strongly" in this song.

Uehana: That's right. So, while thinking about the character in my mind, I thought, "If it were this kind of girl, she would think like this and say it forcefully. I sang the song with the type of character that would force her way into my head.

Sasakama: I sang the song so that I would not be bound only by my own worldview. If I only had my own world, I would get depressed. Normally, you don't tell people about your love life. I felt like it would be my own world, my own mind. So, I tried to sing the song in a way that it would be conveyed outwardly.


─ ─ What do you find interesting about the anime "Henka Suki"?

Kirishima: Up to this point (at the time of this interview), the anime has aired up to episode 4, and it seems that each episode reveals the peculiar sexual proclivities of the girls who appear in the series. I thought from the beginning that it would be the three main girls until the third episode, so from the fourth episode I really started to wonder, "Who is going to come this time? I'm really starting to wonder who's going to come this time. The previews are just voices, aren't they? So, I was wondering if that girl was going to be in the next episode. I watch the show with my expectations high.

Sasakama: Overall, the anime has a very delicate and beautiful screen. When I was reading the original novel, I didn't have that kind of beautiful screen in mind, so I was genuinely impressed by that beautiful screen. I thought, "If the meeting scene is this beautiful, I'm sure I'll fall in love with Oryan Keikan" (laughs).

Uehana: The story itself is not difficult, and it's nice that it's a romantic comedy that can be viewed in an easygoing way. It's a romantic comedy that can be viewed in an easygoing way. It's not a drama full of suspenseful ups and downs that make you feel on edge, but it's fun to watch.

Kirishima: But from about the third episode, I started to sense the madness of Yui Hana, the younger student (laughs). She stuffs her pants in her mouth, and I was like, "Girls are scary" (laughs). Then, I thought Mao, a classmate, was the most reasonable one.　Do you want to go out with him? Then there was the part where we found out that he was looking at Keiki-non as a BL story (laughs).

───The heroines all have very sharp sexuality, but how do you feel about that from a homosexual point of view?

Sasakama: They're cute, so I guess it's okay. (Everyone laughs) But they all have their own sexual proclivities that suit them, or so ...... says (laughs).

Uehana I also think that each person has that kind of thing ...... (laughs). It just happens to stick out. So I think it's totally fine.

Kirishima: I think that everyone has a more or less strange proclivity. I have a bit of an S-ness about me. I think everyone has some weird sexual proclivities, more or less. So, in a way, I think it's very proper. Because you don't show it in public (laughs).

Sasakama: If you don't care who you show it to, you might get caught (laughs).

Kirishima If I felt like, "I can't show it! I don't think I would show it even to Keiki. When I think about it, I realize that everyone is actually more solid than I thought (laughs).
