Blu-ray & DVD of the theater version of "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection" will be released on Lelouch's birthday, December 5!

The Blu-ray and DVD of "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection," the new movie of the legendary "Code Geass" anime released on Saturday, February 9, 2019, will be released on December 5.

Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion" is a TV animation series that aired its first season in 2006 and its second season "R2" in 2008. Set in Japan, which has become a territory of the Britannian Empire, the work depicts Lelouch, a Britannian who has acquired the power of absolute compliance, putting on a mask named "Zero" and leading a resistance army against Britannia: Takahiro Kimura), which made it popular among both men and women.

At the "Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion: Kiseki's Anniversary" event held on November 27, 2016 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the start of the series, the production of a theater version trilogy, reconstructed from all 50 episodes of the TV series with new parts and all newly dubbed, was announced. Part 1 "Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion I: Kodo" is released in theaters from October. Part 2, "Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion II: The Rebellion" will be released in February 2018. And "Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion III: The Emperor's Road" was released on Saturday, May 26, and a three-part theatrical compilation Blu-ray&DVD is now on sale. The sequel and completely new movie "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection," directed by Goro Taniguchi, written by Ichirou Okochi, and character designed by CLAMP's Code Geass team, was released on Saturday, February 9, 2019.

The Blu-ray & DVD of the completely new film "Code Geass Lelouch of the Resurrection," which is a story of the world after "Zero Requiem" with the original staff gathered together, will be released on December 5, 2019.

The special limited editions of the Blu-ray and DVD to be released respectively will include a bonus disc featuring a stage greeting, completion announcement preview, visual commentary, and a new picture drama, as well as a special booklet, postcards, and a collection of CLAMP's original illustrations.

In addition, animate will release an animate limited set that includes Blu-ray & DVD with limited items.
The animate limited set comes with "Canvas Art" featuring original illustrations of Lelouch and Suzaku from the anime. The canvas art is made of canvas fabric for paintings, and the unique texture of the fabric can be enjoyed as it is, as well as the beauty of the high resolution ink prints.

In addition, if you purchase "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection" Blu-ray & DVD at animate, you will receive a set of two acrylic stands. The acrylic stands feature original illustrations of Lelouch in Zero and Suzaku in his pilot suit.

The limited edition will also be available at A-on STORE.
The special disc that comes with the A-on STORE limited edition will include one more new picture drama. It is a large volume that also includes video content.

Both items are only available at animate and A-on STORE, so early pre-order is recommended if you want to be sure of getting them.
