Live-action movie "Rurouni Kenshin: The Final Chapter/The Beginning" unveils additional cast members! The role of En, the most fearsome enemy in the history of the series, will be played by Arata Ken-suke!

The live-action films "Rurouni Kenshin: The Final Chapter The Final" and "Rurouni Kenshin: The Final Chapter The Beginning" will be released in two consecutive weeks on July 3 (Friday) and August 7 (Friday), 2020, respectively. In addition, it has been decided that Mr. Kensuke Nitta will play the role of Enishi, the most fearsome enemy in the history of the series, in these films.

Rurouni Kenshin" is a live-action film based on the manga "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Tan" by Nobuhiro Watsuki. The first "Rurouni Kenshin" was released in 2012, followed by the second "Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Fire of Kyoto" and the third "Rurouni Kenshin: The Last Days of the Legend", both of which were released in 2014.

The final two parts of the film, "Rurouni Kenshin: The Final" and "Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning" will be released on July 3 and August 7, 2020, respectively.


The cast will continue to include Takeru Sato as Kenshin Himura, Emi Takei as Kaoru Kamiya, Takataka Aoki as Sanosuke Sagara, and Yu Aoi as Megumi Takani. The long-awaited visual for the role of En, the most fearsome enemy in the series' history, has also recently been unveiled.


En is a mysterious arms dealer who controls the underworld of mainland China and manipulates Shinji Shishio by sending him weapons and warships. He has a strong grudge against Kenshin and is determined to destroy not only Kenshin, but also all those involved with him and the new era he has created.

There is great action from the beginning. I hope you will watch the scene where Kenshin and En meet and the scene where the fight with Kenshin unfolds, as I put my body on the line to shoot these scenes. As a fan, I have seen all three of the previous films, and I think this film will be very interesting as well, so please look forward to it, including En's.


I'm looking forward to seeing this movie, including the relationship between the two of them.
