The 3rd "AbemaTV GUNDAM 40th Hour" is announced! Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" & "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" are coming!

AbemaTV GUNDAM 40th Hour," in which 11 Gundam series will be distributed free of charge every Saturday, Sunday, and holiday from 9 p.m. on "Minnano Anime Channel" of "AbemaTV," has announced its third lineup.

The "Gundam" series is a popular series including the TV animation "Mobile Suit Gundam" that began broadcasting in 1979. The "Mobile Suit Gundam" series is set in the "Space Century," a time when mankind has advanced into space, and tells the story of the main character Amuro Ray, who is caught up in the war between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon.
Various other works, including the OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08MS Platoon," set on Earth during the same period of "Mobile Suit Gundam," have been released and have created a worldwide fan base of enthusiastic fans.

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Gundam, "AbemaTV," a "free internet TV station" and "Minna no Anime Channel," will broadcast the Gundam series of 11 titles every Saturday, Sunday and holiday at 9 p.m. starting June 22, 2019 (Saturday). It was announced that "AbemaTV GUNDAM 40th Hour", which will sequentially distribute 11 GUNDAM series for free, will be newly established on "AbemaTV (Abema TV)" and "Minna no Anime Channel".

As the third series in the lineup, "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" and "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" were announced for the first time on "AbemaTV".

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" was created based on the concept of "the first Gundam of the 21st century," and is set in a world where genetically modified human coordinators and natural humans are at odds with each other, depicting a story of boys and girls at the mercy of war. The story is about boys and girls at the mercy of war in a world where genetically modified humans (Coordinators) and normal humans (Naturals) are in conflict. Characters such as Kira Yamato and Aslan Zara, who are the main characters of this work, and aircraft such as the Strike Gundam and Freedom Gundam are still very popular today, and "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY," which depicts the world two years later, also boasts strong popularity.

All 98 episodes of the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" and "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" series will be distributed on "AbemaTV" in HD remastered versions, so be sure to check them out.

The lineup for the fourth installment will be announced around November.
