Script by Mari Okada of "Anohana"! Theatrical Animation "Kimi dake Dake moete taisete! October 25, 2012 release date!
The original theatrical anime "Kimi Dake ni Mote ni Taisetai." will be released on October 25, 2019 (Friday)! Along with this, the poster visual, special PV, and main cast have been unveiled.
Kimi dake ni mo te wo watetai datta" ("I want to be irresistible only to you") is an original theatrical anime with a script by Mari Okada, the director of "Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou" (On the Morning of Goodbye, Let's Put the Promise of Flowers). The clumsy and somewhat "unfortunate" high school boys go round and round in circles, but change when they meet "Kimi" - a story of first-time love and the pure emotion of adolescence in which they learn the meaning of friendship. This is a story of first-time love and the meaning of friendship. We still don't know the name of the flower we saw that day. My Heart is Screaming. (scheduled to be released on October 11)," this film takes the "popular boys' high school tournament" setting by surprise and comically and lyrically sketches the struggles and growth of impressionable high school boys. The film breaks new ground in a way that is both more pop and more profound than ever before.
The original character design is by Yamako, an illustrator from the creator unit "HoneyWorks," whose videos have been viewed more than 400 million times on video-sharing websites. The collaboration between Okada-san's depiction of adolescence and Yamako-san's beautiful and emotional visuals is also attracting attention.
Animation production will be by "Birthday Wonderland," "It's Good to Keep Running," and "Hirune Hime: Watashi no Watashi no Shiranai Shisetsu. The animation is directed by up-and-coming director Shun Hisato, who also worked as assistant director on "GARO" and "Hammerhead.
A special PV has been released.
A special PV is now on view that refreshingly depicts the five pure and straightforward high school boys who meet and change through a single e-mail.
The film is voiced by a cast of notable voice actors including Souma Saito, Koki Uchiyama, Rikiya Tomizono, Sadayoshi Matsuoka, Yuichiro Umehara, and Yui Ishikawa. They play the role of youth in a lighthearted and sensitive manner, which is appropriate for the new era.
In addition, staff comments from director Shun Hisato and script writer Mari Okada, as well as comments from the six main cast members, have also arrived. Here are the comments from the six main cast members.

Director: Shun Hisato
In one summer, five high school students encounter feelings they have never experienced before, accept them, and find answers to them.
I tried to carefully depict the movement of each of these feelings.
We also used many expressions that are more challenging than many of today's "coming-of-age" ensemble dramas, and the result is a film that is well worth watching.
Please come to the theater to see the growth and development of the five members.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.
Script writer/Mari Okada
When I heard about this project, the title written on the proposal made me say "Oh! I was like, "Wow!
I thought, "I want to be popular" with "Kimi Dake" added to the light-hearted "I want to be popular" would suddenly give the impression of being clumsy and forward-thinking.
Before the situation of being "popular," she is still groping for "falling in love" with someone. They have ideals about love, but for now, they still enjoy fooling around with other guys. ......The summer of these boys has been turned into a hot and passionate film by director Kudo and his enthusiastic staff.
We hope you will enjoy it at the theater.

Tokio Furuta / Soma Saito
He has cool looks and a calm aura, but in reality he is just a negative character who is not good with girls.
He is always cold to girls, which makes him unattractive to them because he is rumored to be a "middle-aged man with a twisted sense of humor.
About the role
Tokio is a boy who is considered by those around him to have a bit of a "middle-ninth" syndrome, and he himself is not very good at being frank with other people. Because he is unable to gauge the distance between people, he is often misunderstood. But as he meets and works with the members of the Motemen's Club, his feelings gradually start to move outward.
Highlights of the film
At the beginning of the film, the director explained to us that one of the main themes of the story is that the boys grow up by working hard together. I think it is important to show the way and the process of striving for a goal, even though it may not be possible to achieve 100% success through hard work.
Shigekazu Ashida / Koki Uchiyama
He is slim and muscular. He has a friendly personality and seems to be popular at first glance, but his "too childish" behaviors, such as raising others high when he gets excited and taking milk out of his eyes, make him unattractive and unattractive.
About his role
Asimo, the character I played, is a bit silly at times, but he is energetic and hot-blooded. I was told that he was young for his age, but I had never played such a role before, so this was a new challenge for me.
Highlights of the film
The members of the "motemen's club" make efforts to become popular by basically being involved in the club, but in the latter half of the film, they start to be cheered up by the female students as well. But you start to wonder if that's a happy thing. What started out as a frivolous beginning, turns out to be a difficult problem to solve.
Rikiya Tomizono as Kotaro Tojima
He has feminine looks and has confessed his feelings for her many times since elementary school, but has been rejected each time. Kotaro's luminous, upturned eyes make girls say, "Why are you so cute! He is now unattractive, and his role in the film is to play the role of a young man who is not only a man, but a woman as well.
About the role
Kotaro is a boy who looks like he has been told he is cute by girls since elementary school. He is a character who is too cute and, conversely, unattractive. He has a complex about not being manly enough, but when he meets his friends in the "motemen" club and the heroine, Horiko, his feelings change and he grows as a person.
Highlights of the film
This was my first time to record a scene, and I am very grateful for all the advice I received from my seniors. I am very grateful for all the advice I received from my seniors. I would like you to pay attention to the dialogue between Kotaro and Aki with Teijo-san who plays Aki.
Sadayuki Matsuoka as Aki Sahashi
Aki is tall, has a unique, fast-paced aura, and seems to be popular in her own way, but she is unattractive because she is not interested in the girls around her, or rather, in people themselves. Rather, he is unable to find meaning in his own life.
About the role
I played Aki this time. He is a character who is not very interested in women, or rather, he does not like men. ...... His appearance gives him a flirtatious image, but even in heated situations, he is surprisingly calm and observant of his surroundings. I hope that people will not be fooled by his flirtatious appearance (laugh).
Highlights of the film
I was convinced that this story takes place in a world where there is a "Koshien for popular boys" (laughs). It is interesting to think that battles are held all over the country, just like the Koshien in baseball! I think we can get a glimpse of the struggles of the idols who are actually being cackled at.
Yuichiro Umehara as Shun Gotoda
With his mature looks, he is very popular among the girls. As a butler, he has been by Horiko's (Sakiko Horinomiya's nickname) side since she was a child.
About his role
In the beginning of the story, Shun seems more mature than the other characters. He is the key person who holds the reason for the formation of the motormen's club, and he also has the position of butler. However, he is also immature and his emotions change from time to time. He is a character whose psychological situation is often discussed, so it was easy for me to play him, and it is a point I would like the audience to see.
Highlights of the film
First of all, when I read the script, I thought the word "motemen Koshien" was very strong! Nowadays, there are many entertainment contents that use voting, so I think people who like that kind of thing will also enjoy it.
Yui Ishikawa as Sakiko Horinomiya
A beautiful girl with dignified eyes, she is a rich young lady. Her honest and straightforward personality is attractive and attracts all five of them.
About her role
She is a rich young lady who sometimes makes strong comments, but I thought she was an honest girl who could express her thoughts straight away without any malice on her part.
Highlights of the film
A boy who tries hard to be popular... This may sound a bit silly, but I am sure that it is quite important for high school boys. I think it is youth to be able to be desperate for this kind of thing.
