Shin Chuka Ichiban! Anime broadcast is scheduled to begin on October 11 (Fri.), 2012! The key visual, cast, and theme song have all been unveiled!

An anime adaptation of "Shin Chuka Ichiban! has released the latest information including key visuals, cast, and theme song information, as well as a video clip.

Shin Chuka Ichiban! is a manga that depicts the aftermath of "Chuka Ichiban! which was serialized by Etsushi Ogawa in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) from 1995 to 1999. Chuka Ichiban! was animated in Japan in 1997, and has been broadcast on TV stations in 80% of mainland China, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, since 1999. It is still a popular work that has been viewed more than 600 million times on various distribution sites in China. An animated version was recently announced and became a major topic of conversation.

This time, new information has arrived from the anime "Shin Chuka Ichiban! The first thing to look forward to is the start date and time of the broadcast.

First of all, the broadcast start date and time will be announced on MBS "Anime-ism" slot from October 11 (Fri.) from 2:25 am every Friday, and on TBS "Anime-ism" slot from October 11 (Fri.) from 2:25 am every Friday, and on TBS "Anime-ism" slot from 2:25 am every Friday. The program will start airing on TBS "Anime-ism" from 2:25 am every Friday night from October 11 (Fri.) and on BS-TBS "Anime-ism" from 1:30 am every Saturday night from October 12 (Sat.).

The cast information has also been revealed.
Natsumi Fujiwara will play the role of Mao, the youngest special kitchen chef in history, and Ai Chino will play Meili, the only daughter of Choyu, the sous chef of "Yang Sen Shu Jia" where Mao was introduced to. Yuichi Nakamura plays Shell, a.k.a. "Shell of the Steel Club," Mao's good friend and big brother; Tomokazu Sugita plays Leon, a.k.a. "Leon of the Seven Star Sword"; Junya Enoki plays Faye, Mao's biggest and best rival; Chikahachi Tsuji plays Ruoh, a charismatic figure in the Guangzhou culinary world; and the previous chef of "Kikushita-lou The role of Shouan, the first apprentice of the previous chef (Mao's mother) of "Kikushita-lo" is played by Keiichi Nakagawa, and Yuko Kaita plays Shan, a female chef in the underworld who is known as "Ichijo Ao" (a name of "one joe blue").

The theme song information was also released. The opening theme song will be "Koufuku Ron" by Quaif, and the ending theme song will be "Paradigm Shift" by Brian the Sun.

Cast Information


Mao (CV: Natsumi Fujiwara)

Real name: Liu Maoxing
The youngest special kitchen chef in history.
He is the only son of Pai, the head chef of the Sichuan restaurant "Kikujiaolou". He has an unusual palate and extraordinary creativity. He joins the "Yangquan Liquor House" in Guangzhou and sets out on a journey to find the legendary kitchen equipment to fight the underworld of cuisine.

■Mei Li (CV: Ai Chino)
Real name: Chou Meily
She is the only daughter of Chou Yu, the sous-chef at the Yang Chuan Restaurant, where Mao was introduced.
She develops a faint crush on Mao as they spend time together. She and Mao embark on a journey together to find the legendary kitchen utensils.

Shell (CV: Yuichi Nakamura)
Shell, a.k.a. "Shell of the Steel Cudgel," is a certified masked dancer. He is a certified dim sum chef, and the steel club he uses to make dim sum has a star-shaped "shot-down" mark on the end to indicate the number of kitchen chefs he has defeated in cooking competitions. He has a cheerful personality and is a good friend and big brother to Mao. He will accompany Mao on his journey to find the legendary kitchen utensils.


Leon (CV: Tomokazu Sugita)
He is also known as "Leon of the Seven-Star Sword. He was a genius at an early age, but when he went for culinary training, he could not find what he needed to learn, so he entered the culinary underworld.
Later, however, he learned the horrifying reality of the underworld and left. He returned to the Yosenshuu family to acquire the "legendary kitchen tool," the only key that can fight the underworld. In order to fight the underworld, he sets out on a journey with Mao and others to find the legendary kitchen utensils.


■Fei (CV: Junya Enoki)
Real name: Lan Fei Feng
He is Mao's biggest and best adversary. He and Mao passed the special kitchen teacher examination together. He is a beautiful boy who is calm and collected and never gets upset about anything.

Choyu (CV: Yoshimitsu Shimoyama)
Meili's father and sous-chef at the Yang Chuan Restaurant. He is Mao's mentor.
He is a special chef and is the best in Guangzhou. He is in charge of everything at Yang Chuan Restaurant. He rarely shows his emotions, but he is a fatherly figure who always warmly watches over Mao.


Ruoh (CV: Tsuji Shinpachi)
He is a charismatic figure in the Guangzhou culinary world, who is the executive chef of "Yang Chuan Liquor" and the vice-chairman of the Cantonese Culinary Union.
He teaches Mao and his friends, who have decided to fight the underworld, about the existence of the legendary kitchen equipment and encourages them to depart on their own.


Shouan (CV: Keiichi Nakagawa)
He was the apprentice of the previous chef (Mao's mother) at Kikushitaoro, but he betrays Pai and absconds with the restaurant's money. He had planned to take over "Kikushita-Ro" and lost in a cooking duel with Mao, but later joined the underworld.
After that, he joined the backstreet cooking world and appears in front of Mao again.


Shan (CV: Yuko Kaita)
She is a female chef in the underworld and is known as "Ichijo Ao. She wields the same seven-star sword as Leon. She is a beautiful woman, but she is dangerous and ruthless, willing to do anything to win.
