The third stage adaptation of Square Enix's RPG "Romancing Saga" series, which has been adapted into two stage plays, "The Day Roanu Burns" and "The Return of the Seven Heroes," has been well received by both audiences. On February 16, "Romancing Saga Orchestra Festival" was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. This performance was an orchestra concert featuring music from Square Enix's popular RPG "Romancing Saga" series, including "Romancing Saga", "Romancing Saga 2", "Romancing Saga 3", "Romancing Saga Minstrel Song", "SaGa THE STAGE: Seven There were two performances: a daytime performance at 1:30 p.m. and a nighttime performance at 6:30 p.m. The daytime performance was followed by an encore of the evening performance at 6:30 p.m. The audience was treated to a live performance of "Romancing Saga 2" and "Romancing Saga 3.


Akitoshi Kawazu, general director of the Saga series, appeared as a special guest for the encore of the daytime performance, and announced loudly, "I will perform on the stage again this year! he declared in a loud voice. He announced that "SaGa THE STAGE ~Yakusoku no Mardiasu~," the third stage adaptation commemorating the 30th anniversary of the saga series, would be staged this November. The "Romancing Saga Orchestra Festival" consisted of two parts, with the first part starting with "Overture: Opening Title" from "Romancing Saga. Performed by the Tokyo New City Orchestra and conducted by Akira Naito. Pianist Keiko Ohzaki joined the orchestra for a dramatic opening. The performance was followed by "Lost Forest - Sewer Medley" and "Battle 1 - Battle 2 Medley" from "Romancing Saga", "Poem of Faraway Battle", "Imperial City Avalon - The Emperor Rides Out Medley" and "Battle 1 - Battle of Seven Heroes Medley" from "Romancing Saga 2", and "Prologue - The Menace of Deadly Eclipse ~The Field - Battle 1 Medley" and "Abyss Gate - Four Heroes Battle 1-2 Medley" from "Romancing Saga 3" were performed. In between, Ito talked about his memories of when he created the music for each work, and told the audience what kind of feelings were put into the music. The second part was "Overture" from "Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song" and organist Miho Nakazawa joined the performance on the pipe organ to play "Village of Giants: Evil Sei no Melody Medley" and "Final Test: Invitation to Death Medley" from the stage "SaGa THE STAGE: Return of the Seven Heroes ~The "Birth of the Queen - Opening Act", "Temptation (Heart) RS Version" with the participation of violinist Yutaka Mabe, and "Song of Love - Fulfilled Two: Noel and Oaibu" from "SaGa The Stage - The Return of the Seven Heroes" performed in 2018. Then, from the latest work "Romancing Saga: Re-Universe," they performed "Under the Flag of the Houkoku," "Aiming for the Top: Grave Battle Medley," and "Kizuna of Rebirth: Re;univerSe. In between these performances, Ito shared episodes from the creation and recording of each song, leading to a moving finale.


The Tokyo performance will be held at the Sunshine Theater from Thursday, November 12 to Monday, November 16, and the Osaka performance will be held at Sankei Hall Breeze from Friday, November 20 to Monday, November 23.
