It has been announced that the popular novel "Ikebukuro West Gate Park" by Ira Ishida will be adapted into a TV anime in 2020.

Ikebukuro West Gate Park" is a popular novel by Ira Ishida that has sold more than 4.2 million copies in total and has been adapted for TV dramas, stages, and other media. Makoto Majima, the son of a fruit vendor near Ikebukuro West Gate Park in Tokyo, is the "Troubleshooter of Ikebukuro" who solves one difficult case after another in cooperation with his friends and street gangs. This popular mystery series depicts Makoto confronting the dark side of society while cooperating with his friends and street gangs to solve one difficult case after another.

The drama, created in 2000 with director Yukihiko Tsutsumi, screenwriter Kankuro Kudo, and star Tomoya Nagase, is legendarily popular and was adapted for the stage in 2017.

I want to create a realistic and cool Ikebukuro!
Ever since I was a child, I have grown up watching numerous masterpieces of anime. Now that "Ikebukuro West Gate Park" has been made into an animated TV series, I can't wait to see it on the air. What kind of world will be created in the anime version of this series, which has also been made into a TV drama and a stage play?
