At the FIA Gran Turismo Championship 2020 World Tour Round 1 in Sydney Nations Cup for the PlayStation 4 software Gran Turismo SPORT held in Sydney, Australia on Sunday, February 16, 2020, Japanese representative Taku Miyazono Takuma Miyazono, a representative of Japan, won for the first time.

Gran Turismo SPORT is a driving simulator released in 2017. It is the first title in the series to be released exclusively for PS4, and features dozens of different courses in addition to enhanced visual expressions, including the texture of the cars. The game is online-only, but only the arcade mode can be played offline.

The "World Tour Round 1 in Sydney" Nations Cup, which will determine the fastest racer of the title, will feature 24 top players from Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and other regions who have qualified in various regions.

While all eyes were on players from the host country, Australia, including Cody Nikola Ratkovsky, the winner was Takuma Miyazono, who has a record of finishing 3rd in the World Finals for the 2019 season.

Miyazono, who started the final race in 4th position, used a completely different strategy than the other competitors, and after 30 laps, the gap between the leader, Miyazono, and 2nd place finisher, Ratkovsky, was only 0.029 seconds, making for a fierce battle that will go down in history.
