Coroplast will update the version of "White Cat Project" on February 19 and 20. Changed specifications of action skills and charge attacks.

Coroplast released application version 2.24.0 of its own smartphone app "Hakuneko Project". The company announced changes to the way action skills and charge attacks operate and their content.

Hakuneko Project" is a full-fledged action RPG for smartphones that has been available since 2014, and has achieved 100 million downloads two years after its launch thanks to the game's popular features, including the elimination of the stamina system and "Puikon," which allows players to control characters using white circles that appear on the screen where they touch.

This update is in response to the current dispute with Nintendo. In 2017, Nintendo filed a lawsuit against Coloplast, claiming that five technologies implemented in "Hakuneko Project," including "Pugikon," infringe on their patent rights. It demanded a total of 4.4 billion yen, including damages.

The update will be implemented on Wednesday, February 19 and Thursday, February 20, 2020. The update will focus on specifications related to how to operate the game. The most significant is the procedure for activating action skills. The current "tap the skill button and release your finger" will be changed to "activate the action skill when your finger touches the skill button. It seems that the specifications of "Punikon" will be changed. In addition, it will also be possible to set the size of the skill button's judgment on the options screen.
