This Sound! is an anime work based on the comic of the same title serialized by Amyu in "JUMP SQ." (Shueisha). The first season will air in the spring of 2019, and this will be the second season following that. Takezo, the serious, glasses-wearing head of the koto club that is on the verge of being shut down, is joined by unexpected members such as Chika Ai, a delinquent boy with a "reason" for being, and Satowa, a genius from the Hougetsu-kai, the head of the koto school. This coming-of-age school story depicts the disparate personalities of the club members as they unite under the goal of "winning first place in the nation. Animation production will be handled by Platinum Vision, an up-and-coming studio that has produced "SERVAMP," "Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST," "Devil's Line," etc., following the first season.

The new addition to the cast is Nao Higashiyama, who will play the role of Akira Dojima.

Akira Dojima is from the Tsubakikai, a subgroup of the Hougetsukai, the head of the koto family, and appears as an external instructor of the koto club at Tokise High School. He is likely to be an important presence in the story of the second school year and for the koto club members, who are working even harder to achieve a national competition.
