Major Second" aired on NHK E-television in April 2018 as a sequel to the baseball anime milestone "Major". The long-awaited new serieswill air every Saturday at 5:35 p.m. starting April 4, 2020, and a key visual, key staff, and cast information have been released.

Major 2nd" is based on Takuya Mitsuda's manga "MAJOR 2nd" serialized in Shogakukan's "Weekly Shōnen Sunday. It is a sequel to "Major (MAJOR)" in which Goro is the main character, and tells the story of his son Daigo's growth. It aired on NHK E-television in April 2018 as a sequel to the baseball anime milestone "MAJOR"; the sequel is scheduled to air from April 4, 2020.

The second series of "Major Second" will air on Saturdays at 5:35 p.m. starting April 4, 2020, and additional cast members have been announced.

Ayane Sakura will play the role of Tao Sagara, an agile shortstop who boasts of his iron-clad defensive abilities in the Furin Junior High baseball team led by Daigo Shigeno, and Maki Kawase will play the role of Yayoi Sawa, who boasts of her iron-clad double play with Tao Sagara.

＜Storyline
The main character, Daigo Shigeno, whose father is Goro Shigeno, a former Major League Baseball player, was a member of the Mifune Dolphins, a youth baseball team, along with Hikaru Sato, whose father is Hisaya Sato, another Major League Baseball player, and Mutsuko Sakura.
Time passed, and Daigo went on to Fuurin Gakuen Junior High School. Daigo, now in his second year of junior high school, is the captain of the new Furin Junior High School baseball team!
Finally, the "junior high school version" of this endlessly hot, royal road baseball story begins!
