Sega Games announced that the Sega Genesis Mini, a North American version of the Mega Drive Mini, and the Mega Drive Mini 3-Button Control Pad, a peripheral for the Mega Drive Mini, will be available in limited quantities for a special release on Friday, September 27, 2019.

The "Mega Drive Mini" is a new palm-sized recreation of Sega's fifth home video game console, the "Mega Drive," which was released almost 30 years ago in 1988. 154 (W) x 39 (H) x 116 (D) mm, the compact body contains 40 game software titles. From action and shooting games to puzzles, RPGs, simulations, and more, this is the "Mega Drive history" of classic titles. The "Mega Drive Mini W," which includes two control pads essential for competitive and cooperative play, will also be released at the same time.

Sega Genesis Mini" is the sibling of "Mega Drive Mini". Sega Genesis Mini" North American version

Sega Genesis Mini" is the North American version of "Mega Drive Mini".
The basic functions are identical to those of the "Mega Drive Mini," but the design of the console is a faithful reproduction of the North American version.
Also included are two North American-spec 3-button control pads and an AC adapter.
The included controllers, cables, and AC adapter are compatible with the Japanese version.

A 3-button controller exclusively for the "Mega Drive Mini". Unlike the 6-button control pad included with the Mega Drive Mini and sold separately, this is a faithful reproduction of the controller that was included with the original Mega Drive when it was first released.
It is one size larger than the 6-button control pad and features directional buttons that can be easily moved at an angle. The small number of buttons means that special controls for some titles are no longer available, but all games can still be played just as on the original.
