<Official Report> *Honorifics omitted.
After celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut as an artist last year, Mamoru Miyano continues to expand his field of activities as an entertainer. The final performance of "MAMORU MIYANO ASIA LIVE TOUR 2019 ~BLAZING!", Miyano's first Asia tour and the largest in his history, was held at Yokohama Arena on September 8 (Sunday). This live tour, themed "Hero," was packed with performances and direction that only Miyano, who has played a variety of heroes as a voice actor and actor, could deliver! Here is a report on Miyano's passionate and literally "BLAZING" live performance!
As soon as the venue went dark, the LED vision screen showed the image of Miyano as a hero descending on a desolate planet in flames. Miyano was spotted by enemies who were scouting the planet, but he dodged their attacks with his brilliant body movements and cut them down with a single sword. The words "BLAZING!" engraved in his eyes appeared on the LED vision, and the audience cheered loudly. Then the LED vision cracked, and Miyano appeared on stage in a red lotus costume, as if he had transcended dimensions.
The audience's penlights turned the venue bright red as they shouted "FIRE". The opening number "FIRE" exploded into a high-speed rap song, and Miyano walked to the center of the stage with dancers in tow as soon as he said the powerful words "I`ll do it my way. Miyano was a dark hero manipulating flames. The next song, "Voice," was sung on a moving stage, and the tension in the audience rose dramatically. The audience was mesmerized by the dancers and their well-matched dance moves and cool, masculine expressions. The dance numbers continued with "EGOISTIC," a performance using swords. The dance of sword (tsurugi), which combines power and beauty, thrilled the audience.
A big heart mark appeared on the LED vision. Let's get excited for the tour finale! Miyano, wearing a see-through black blouse, appeared on stage with great energy and performed "Sugar, Sugar". Miyano's masculine appearance changed drastically as he showed his sweet and melting smile to the fans.
He did not stop at just smiling, but also asked the audience, "Who wants Sugar, Sugar? and gave marshmallows to the audience from the stage, enveloping the entire venue with his kindness. The song "Never Friends" created an atmosphere like a scene from a movie. The LED vision displaying a nighttime street scene was the backdrop for the sad and melancholy voice of the singer, which echoed throughout the venue. Cool, cute, and sexy, Miyano's various expressions showed the wide range of expression of the artist Mamoru Miyano.
After the introduction of the band members and dancers as "TEAM MAMO," Miyano appeared on stage in denim with a gentle piano melody. I'm coming for you! The song "Power of Love" was sung while going around the audience on a trolley to bring smiles to the audience, and the audience sang along in chorus with the fans, which quickly raised the sense of unity in the venue.
Are you excited? We're going to fly to the end today, so please join us! After Miyano said, "Are you excited? Miyano sang "FRONTIER" powerfully, expressing that his own activities go beyond 2-D, 2.5-D, and 3-D and expressing his determination to continue to be active in various dimensions. He followed with a whisper, "Let's start a secret lesson with me..." Miyano then performed "Boku no Manual" arranged more jazzy for this tour with the whisper of "Let's start a secret lesson with me.
During the interlude of the song, the audience was even more excited by the call and response. They also sang "Boku wa Hero," which was broadcast on "NHK Minna no Uta" in February and March of this year. The choreography of the chorus was lectured to the audience, who danced along with the fans with big smiles on their faces.
After the ballad corner, there was a special movie corner, which has become a familiar part of the show. This time it was "Bokura ha Hero," an animated live-action version of the song "Boku wa Hero," which was broadcast on NHK's Minna no Uta program. Guests included Hiroshi Kamiya and Daisuke Ono as heroes, and Shun Takagi as a villain. The audience cheered and laughed throughout the special effects footage performed by the splendid members.
After the interval video, Miyano appeared on stage in a futuristic costume. During the performance of "TRANSFORM," she opened the bosom of her costume in a sexy choreography that brought cheers from the fans. The rock tune "Ao no Tsubasa" raised the audience's voltage at once, followed by "ULTRA FLY" in which Ultraman Zero appeared on the LED vision. The collaboration of Miyano's singing voice and images beautifully recreated the famous scene from "Ultraman Zero Fight.
After Ultraman Zero's resurrection, the opening movie continued in the center of the LED vision, and the hero Miyano was confronted by a huge flame monster. Then the monster destroyed the frame of the central LED vision and appeared across the entire LED vision as if it had really appeared at the venue.
Miyano, dressed in the same costume as in the opening movie, followed the monster and appeared on stage again, transcending dimensions. He was a hero himself.
After defeating the monsters, Miyano performed "BREAK IT!" to which the audience responded with a call-and-response to the song, which was inspired by Yokohama, the venue of the event, further heightening the sense of unity among the audience. Miyano then said, "I've had such a good time.
Miyano then said, "I had such a wonderful time that I wondered if it was possible to have such a good time," and while feeling sadness as the show came to an end, he added, "I can be a hero only because the audience gathered to watch and support our performance. That's why you are my heroes! He sang "EXCITING!" in the invincible space filled with heroes. The live ended with a dance tune with a large mirror ball in the background that brought the entire audience into the show.
However, the audience immediately started to call out "Mamo" in a huge outpouring. Miyano returned to the stage again to answer the endless encores. He sang his new song "Encore," which was written to express his joy and gratitude for being able to spend this special live time with his fans, with all his heart and soul.
The LED vision screen showed the making of this tour and images of the audience, reminding us once again that today's live was not created by Miyano alone, but with the fans in the audience.
I am truly filled with gratitude to everyone on this tour. I can come back to this stage because of your voices calling me. I am so happy to be able to sing this song at the tour finale! The next song, "Kiss x Kiss," was followed by a sea of penlights that rained loving kisses down on the audience.
The audience was still calling for "Mamo" and the audience was still calling for "Mamo". To answer the audience's expectations, she appeared on stage again and announced that she would be the first male voice actor to perform at the MetLife Dome next year on June 6! The audience cheered with joy and emotion.
The audience was filled with joy and excitement. "It is because of the voices and thoughts of so many people that TEAM MAMO is able to go to the Dome! I want to share this historic moment with you all!" He ended the performance with the song "Shine" with a smile like the sun, just like Miyano.
Mamoru Miyano is a hero not only because of his own strength, but also because of the "love" given to him by the people around him. For him, a live concert may be a place where he transforms the "love" given to him into "courage" and delivers it to his fans. What kind of spectacle will he present at "Mamoru Miyano Special Live 2020 in MetLife Dome," his first live performance in a dome? (photo: Kazu Kami-Iizaka)
