THE GUNDAM BASE FUKUOKA" & "GUNDAM Cafe" Fukuoka branch will open simultaneously at Canal City Hakata on November 30, 2019 (Sat)!

It was announced that "THE GUNDAM BASE FUKUOKA," the second domestic flagship store for Gunpla fans in Kyushu, and the Fukuoka branch of the official Gundam café "GUNDAM Cafe" will make their first appearance in the Kyushu area, They will open simultaneously at Canal City Hakata on Saturday, November 30, 2019.

Since its launch in July 1980, Gunpla has continued to evolve through the use of various technologies, including the company's original four-color injection molding technology.
THE GUNDAM BASE" opened in Korea in 2003, Taiwan in 2005, Tokyo in 2017, and Shanghai in 2018 as an official "Gunpla" store with the aim of expanding the "Gunpla" business for Gunpla fans around the world, and currently operates a total of 15 stores worldwide.

It has been decided that "THE GUNDAM BASE FUKUOKA" and "GUNDAM Cafe" will open simultaneously in the "Canal City Hakata" commercial complex in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City.

Canal City Hakata is home to a shopping mall, movie theaters, theaters, amusement facilities, two hotels, showrooms, offices, and a variety of other businesses. In the center of the city, lined with curvy and colorful buildings, a 180-meter canal (Canal) flows through the center of the city, and a dynamic fountain show signals the passage of time. On a stage along the waterfront, events by performers and live music performances are held daily, making it an entertainment city.

THE GUNDAM BASE FUKUOKA, the second store to open in Japan after THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO, will not only offer one of the largest selection of Gundam models in Japan, including exclusive items only available at THE GUNDAM BASE in Fukuoka, but will also allow customers to assemble their own Gundam models, The store will also feature a "build room" where customers can assemble their own Gundam models, as well as a display zone with the latest products and examples of work by professional modelers, so it is sure to appeal to all generations.

Since its opening in Akihabara, Tokyo, in 2010, "GUNDAM Cafe" has been a base for disseminating information on the ever-evolving and ever-changing Gundam universe, and currently operates in Tokyo and Osaka.
The Fukuoka branch of "GUNDAM Cafe," the first to open in the Kyushu area, will be a new café stand-style store where a wide range of people can casually drop in.

For those living in Kyushu who have not been able to visit the cafe due to distance, or those visiting Hakata on vacation, this is definitely a place to visit.
