PC ENGINE mini" launch commemorative project "Creators' Interview" is now open to the public! The first interview is about "Super Star Soldier" by Takahashi Meijin and Kawada Meijin.

Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. has released the first installment of its "Creators' Interview" project on its official website to commemorate the release of "PC Engine mini.

PC Engine mini" is a reissue of the 1987 home video game console "PC Engine" and will be released exclusively on Amazon on March 19, 2020. The price is 10,500 yen (excluding tax).

The "Creator's Interview" program will feature people involved in the production of the "PC Engine" and "PC Engine mini," who will talk about behind-the-scenes stories and the appeal of their work. A total of nine interviews are planned.


The first installment is titled "Super Star Soldier" and features Takahashi Meijin and Kawada Meijin, who traveled all over Japan during the heyday of shooting games.

Super Star Soldier" is a vertical scrolling shooting game for the PC Engine released by Hudson on July 6, 1990. They talk about the secret story behind the production of this title, their memories of the National Game Caravan, and their recommendations for the game. The interview can be viewed below.
