This stage was held within "One Hobby 31," a joint corporate booth of Good Smile Company and Max Factory. On stage were Miku Tachibana as Kotono Nagase, Mai Kanno as Sakura Kawasaki, Moeko Yuki as Rei Ichinose, Kokona Natsume as Nagisa Ibuki, Nao Sasaki as Haruko Saeki, Koharu Miyazawa as Saki Shiraishi, and Kanon Takao as Chisa Shiraishi, all of whom play new idols in the "Hoshimi Productions" cast, Kanata Aikawa as Suzu Narimiya, Moka Hyuga as Mei Hayasaka, and Shina Suto as Shizuku Hyodo. The 14 members of the rival unit "LizNoir" were Haruka Tomatsu, who played Rio Kanzaki; Ayaka Takagaki, who played Aoi Igawa; Minako Kotobuki, who played Ai Komiyama; and Aki Toyosaki, who played Kokoro Akasaki. The emcee/facilitator was Ken Washizaki, a familiar face at "one hobbi" stage events, and Ms. Toyosaki.

First on stage were the four members of "LizNoir. Needless to say, the four are also active as the voice acting unit "Sphere," and as you know, they are not only talented as artists, but also have a great variety of skills. Their improvised "LizNoir" poses, "Lizno," "Whirl! The audience burst into laughter at the slapstick developments.

The audience was warmed up, and then the cast members playing the new idols of "Hoshimi Productions" appeared on stage! The audience cheered loudly as they appeared for the first time in their stage costumes. The costumes, decorated with each character's personal color, had ribbons tied around them and layers of frills fluttering in the air.

Kosuke Watari, the costume designer, commented that the meaning of the costumes was "knotting and overlapping," and that the bonds and efforts of the new idols were expressed in the knots of ribbons and the overlapping ruffles.

This was followed by the "Idol PRIDE Battle," a quiz showdown between Tomatsu, Takagaki, and Kotobuki of "LizNoir" and members of "Hoshimi Productions.

Here, "February 9 is Manga Day (the anniversary of Osamu Tezuka's death). So, what national qualification did Mr. Osamu Tezuka have? What was the famous comment made by Kosuke Kitajima at the Athens Olympics in 2004? What is the origin of the word "chocolate"?

The new idols of "Hoshimi Production" could not hide their nervousness yet, but the three members of "LizNoir" seemed to gradually loosen up as they played friendly games with them during the quiz. It was impressive to see how they all naturally smiled and participated in the talk.

The climax of the stage was the first live performance of the song "Shine Purity" by the new idols of "Hoshimi Productions.

The song, which sang about the idols' passion and determination with dramatic sound and melody, was passionate without question, but the performance by the 10 idols was also spectacular. The vividness of the singers' baton changes, with formations and dances that rivaled those of real idols, was a sight to behold. The audience immediately responded to the emotional stage performance with strong calls, and the first live performance ended in a great success.

The stage for the first performance of the song, which took place in the midst of tension, was something that could only be seen on this day. As Ms. Washizaki said on stage, the girls are surely going to perform on many stages in the future and improve their skills. The audience who witnessed this memorable first step will no doubt be witnesses to their history.

IDOLY PRIDE" will perform on the open stage at AnimeJapan 2020 in March 2020, as well as in a solo event at the Maihama Amphitheater on May 10. A number of developments are planned, including a TV anime adaptation.

What kind of drama and growth will be shown by the new idols of "Hoshimi Productions" who have just started their career? We will keep our eyes on them!
