The general public day is all about Puyopuyo! PuyoPuyo eSports competitions and events will be held at the Tokyo Game Show 2019!

Sega Games announced that it will hold a "Puyo Puyo eSports" tournament and stage events for PS4 and Switch at the Tokyo Game Show 2019, which is being held at Makuhari Messe from September 12 to 15.

The first title in the "Puyo Puyo" series was released in 1991. The series has become synonymous with the action puzzle game genre thanks to its clear-cut game system, in which players connect multiple "puyos" of the same color to make them disappear, as well as the competitive element, which was a first for an action puzzle game at the time, and which has gained popularity. PuyoPuyo eSports" is the latest title in the "PuyoPuyo" series, and it incorporates the eSports elements of the title to further enhance the competitive nature of the game.

At the Tokyo Game Show 2019, there will be a dedicated e-Sports stage, "e-Sports X BLUE STAGE Presented by PlayStation 4," where the "Puyopuyo eSports" event will take place. There will be live broadcasts of Tokyo Game Show exclusive tournaments with professional players, international junior tournaments, and much more.
