Live Report

On February 24 (Mon., holiday), "OVER THE HORIZON ~& Over~," an additional performance of Yuma Uchida's 1st live tour, was held at Pacifico Yokohama National Grand Hall in Kanagawa. The live performance was announced at the final show of the first tour "OVER THE HORIZON" held in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka from October to November last year, and it was a new challenge for Uchida, even though it was an additional performance. The following is a report on the culmination of Uchida's 1st live tour, which drew a total of approximately 11,000 people to the four shows.

At the beginning of the show, the opening movie was projected on the stage. The song "Harmony of waves" was spun only by Yuma Uchida's voice, and his monologue was overlapped with the song to heighten the audience's expectation. After the words, the title of the show and Uchida's silhouette appeared on the curtain, and the live started with their debut song "NEW WORLD".

The 4,500 fans gathered at Pacifico Yokohama, the largest capacity venue on this tour, welcomed Uchida with enthusiastic cheers. Uchida's voice was straight and penetrating from the very beginning, and she performed "BE MY BABY" with two dancers in perfect sync with the audience. The audience was enlivened by their performance of "Before Dawn," the title song of the 2nd single.

The title call announced the opening of the additional performance, and the audience was excited with "&Over, are you ready to go over your limits? The audience's tension was quickly raised by the title call and the fourth song "Stardust". The fourth song, "Stardust," was a performance that shook the hearts of the audience, as if they were in desperate need of help.

In the video part, titled "OVER THE CAMP," the audience was challenged to go on an unprecedented camping trip on a beach overlooking the horizon. After enjoying Uchida's unusual appearance such as driving and "cosplay camping" wearing armor, Uchida reappeared in a denim jacket. She sang "Speechless" and "Rainbow," the ending themes of the TV anime "Kono Oto Tomare! The warm and refreshing atmosphere filled the Pacifico Yokohama.

Then, four dancers were invited back to the stage, and from here on, the audience was in the zone of raging dance tunes. VIBES," a full-fledged EDM song, incorporated choreography that allowed the audience to dance along with the dancers, bringing the audience together and raising the tension.

After the dancers' solo parts, Uchida, who had changed into a long black jacket, performed a solo dance. As she said, "I love singing and dancing because it gives me a sense of excitement, so I wanted to try it when I was given the opportunity to perform music. She also performed different types of dance numbers such as "Can you keep a secret?", a sexy R&B song with a sweet voice that captivated the audience, and "ERROR", a song about a troubled love in a world created by laser effects.
The interlude of "Looook UP! in which the dancers play rock-paper-scissors to determine the winner of the love contest at each performance.

Uchida, who had failed to win any of the three performances so far on the tour, finally succeeded in confessing her love to the dancers at the additional performance! She shouted with great joy at her long-sought victory, and the fans shouted with delight. The song "Kiss Hug," which depicts the pure love between two people who have just started dating, was sung in the same vein. From the pink-tinted stage, they delivered cute choreography such as throwing kisses to the fans, filling the venue with a happy atmosphere.

After enjoying an all-out beach flag showdown, cheese fondue, and fireworks during the video part again, the stage was filled with Uchida in a black sequined jacket and a grand piano. The announcement of the additional performance had been made at the same time as the announcement of the new show, and the challenge of playing the piano was announced. As the venue was quiet and still, the intro of "SOS" was played quietly, and the delicate tones of the piano and Uchida's sad voice echoed through the air. The audience was deeply intoxicated by Uchida's emotional voice as if she was shouting towards the end of the song, and applauded unreservedly. The next number, "Kimi ni taisetto koto" (What I want to tell you), a love ballad full of warmth and love, was sung in a calm atmosphere. After the happy time to enjoy Uchida's smooth voice, she quickly changed into a white Napoleon jacket and led the fans with "Horizon," the lead song from her first album, "Let's go together! and lead the fans in "Horizon," the lead song from their first album.

Four dancers reappeared, waving blue flags, and performed "MAJESTIC" to powerfully express Yuma Uchida's way of being as an artist. The audience responded enthusiastically to Uchida's passion by singing along loudly to "JOURNEY" as the sense of unity in the venue reached its peak.

During the MC session, Uchida confessed that he had declared to take on the challenge of playing "SOS," but at first he was not able to play it as well as he would have liked, and his heart was nearly broken. Yuma Uchida's musical activities are based on the theme of challenge. I received a voice saying that he decided to take on a challenge because I said I would take on a challenge, and I realized that by saying I would take on a challenge in this way, someone's world was moved. I think it was very meaningful for me to take on the challenge.

He also thanked the fans, saying, "Sometimes I feel like my heart is about to break, but it is your words that support me in those times. The song was sung by Yuma Uchida and the assembled fans and echoed throughout the venue.

Uchida appeared on stage again to the cheers of the fans and said, "Are you ready to get excited yet? Uchida appeared on stage again. Waving his towel around, Uchida once again raised the excitement of the audience with the exhilarating dance tune "Shower". The final pose with the towel spread out was not quite right, and he had to ask the audience to repeat it a few times. Yuma Uchida announced that the performance would be broadcast on TBS Channel 1! The sixth single will be produced! Details will be announced at a later date.

We are going to take on new challenges without stopping. Will you continue to walk with me? and the fans responded with cheers of anticipation.
&Over, you haven't gone over the limit yet, have you?" The song they performed was their latest song "Over," which was released on February 19 and was also the title of the additional performance. A microphone stand appeared at the center of the stage, as was appropriate for his first attempt at a full-fledged rock number. Just before the chorus of the first verse, she kicked off the microphone stand and sang with a passionate voice, enchanting the fans.

Even after Uchida left the stage, the audience, who still seemed to be in a state of excitement, cheered enthusiastically again. In response, Uchida appeared once again and expressed his joy at having been able to hold the tour and his gratitude to the fans.

I am so grateful," she said! I am so happy that I don't have words to express it, and this live tour made me realize that I am supported by all of you. Truly, someone's voice gives strength to people like us who are in the entertainment business. Yuma Uchida, the staff, the dancer team, and all the people who gather here like this, we are able to work with such a great voice. Nothing makes me happier. It is thanks to all of you that I am here. Thank you so much.

The end is also a signal for the beginning. Please continue to walk with us, everyone, to create the best space where we can all come together again from here. Thank you very much! The song "Bokura no Katachi" was chosen to close the 1st live tour "OVER THE HORIZON" and the additional show "&Over", a total of 4 shows. The live was filled with warmth as the audience sang along with the golden tape flying in the air.

The additional performance titled "& Over" was not only the culmination of the tour that showed the "way" of Yuma Uchida as an artist, but also a live performance that gave the audience a sense of further possibilities beyond the tour. The tour was also the culmination of a tour that demonstrated the "way to be" of artist Yuma Uchida, as well as a live performance that showed further possibilities beyond the tour!
