TGS2019] I've Played the Much-Talked-About "PC Engine mini"! Tokyo Game Show 2019, Test Play Report! Pat2!

Tokyo Game Show 2019 (TGS2019) was held at Makuhari Messe (Chiba Prefecture) from Thursday, September 12 to Sunday, September 15, 2019, and was a great success.

In this issue, following the previous report on the trial play of the games, we will show you all the trial play videos of the games that we were unable to introduce! We hope you can feel the atmosphere of the games as much as possible.
We have played through "FFVII", "Trials of Mana", "Yakuza", and ...... the latest games! Tokyo Game Show 2019, Trial Play Report! [There are also videos!

PC Engine mini (Konami Digital Entertainment)
Since the "Famicom Mini", many retro games have been reissued in miniature size, and finally the "PC Engine" has also been miniaturized!
At TGS2019, many game fans lined up to try out the actual machine.
The PC Engine, which was originally quite compact, is only about one size smaller. Even so, it still looked quite compact.
However, the console contained a whopping 58 games, including titles for overseas consumption!
From Hu-CARD titles to high-capacity SUPER CD-ROM² titles, there are plenty of games to play.

This time, I played "Cho-Aniki" and "PC Genjin," two games that I have a deep personal attachment to.
I was pleased to see that they were reproduced exactly as they were from the startup screen. The game feels just as comfortable to play as it does on the actual machine.
I think this is a must buy!

Ash and the Magic Brush (SIE)
The most fantastic and exciting new action game from SEA.
The player controls Ash, a boy who loves to paint, and paints pictures one after another on the walls of a deserted port town.
The unique feature of this game is that creatures and objects painted with Ash's magic brush come to life and can communicate with Ash.
Players can use the creatures to solve riddles with the help of their drawings.

The decadent town, reminiscent of the movie "Lost Children," is charming, and it is exciting to see it become more and more colorful as pictures are painted on it.
As a fan of games like "ICO," "Kazano Tabibito," and "Rain," this game is straight to the heart of the matter. I recommend it.

■Nioh 2 (Koei Tecmo)
The sequel to "Nioh," which shook all gamers as the strongest deadly game, was exhibited in a playable state.
To put it bluntly, you will die a lot this time, too!
However, depending on your strategy and equipment, you may be able to get by, so it looks like you'll be dying again this time and moving forward one step at a time.

Sword Art Online: Arisゼーション Lycoris (Namco Bandai Games Inc.)
A 3D action game based on "SWORD ART ONLINE ARISATION," the hot fall anime series!
Players form parties with familiar characters from the anime and clear missions.
Depending on the timing, Kirito can perform stylish attacks just like in the anime.

GRANBLUE FANTASY Versus (Cygames)
GRANBLUE FANTASY," a popular smartphone game with a second anime season coming in the fall, is now available as a fighting game for PS4.
The most notable feature of the game is its stunning graphics!
The illustrations are moving as they are in the action!
The game is being developed by Arc System Works, known for its "GUILTY GEAR" series and other titles, so you can be sure of the quality.
We look forward to its release.

Yumegen re:master (Kougado Studio)
Yumeken re:master", a yuri yuri adventure game set in a game development site, will be exhibited as a TGS version.
Information on new content scheduled for release in 2020 was revealed through a special story that could only be played at the event.
Even those who are unfamiliar with the game may have become interested in this title by experiencing the fun interactions between the characters.

That concludes the Akiba Research Institute's video report on the game.
All of them are attractive titles that make us want to play the full version as soon as possible! We hope you found this information useful.
