The first game information has been released from "BAYONETTA&VANQUISH" for PlayStation 4, scheduled for release on May 28, 2020.

BAYONETTA&VANQUISH" combines two titles released on PlayStation 3/Xbox 360, the climactic action "BAYONETTA" and the shooting action "VANQUISH". The two titles, the climactic action "BAYONETTA" and the shooting action "VANQUISH," are combined into one software title for PS4.

Introduction of "BAYONETTA" characters

Bayonetta
A mysterious witch who lives in the present day, hundreds of years after the events of the past. She uses her powerful magical powers to fight heavenly messengers, but her identity is shrouded in mystery, including the reason for her existence. Equipped with four "Scarborough Fair" guns on her hands and feet, she specializes in the "Bullet Arts," a fighting technique in which she shoots bullets along with her blows. She is also said to be able to make powerful magical beasts appear in the world and devour all the angels that crowd around her with her "Wicked Weave," a spell that she unleashes by imbuing her hair with magical power.

Jeanne
A mysterious woman with a fighting style and magical powers on par with Bayonetta. She appears wherever she goes, provoking Bayonetta with her cold, piercing gaze. She seems to have some information about Bayonetta's past, but her true identity and purpose are unknown. She uses four jet-black pistols to hunt Bayonetta down.

Rodan
A man who runs a bar named "The Gates of Hell" in the slums. He is ostensibly a bartender, but he also has a face as a weaponsmith and trades with Bayonetta for a variety of weapons. With his strong physique, he is a figure to be admired even by the ruffians. He is also rumored to be the "gunsmith of the demon world" because of his appearance and powerful weapons. However, his true identity is shrouded in mystery, and the reason why he provides Bayonetta with weapons is also a mystery.

Enzo
Enzo is an informant who deals with the street thugs. With his shrewdness and natural sense of danger, he navigates the underworld. He and Bayonetta seem to have an amicable relationship, as he provides them with special information and arranges funerals for some unknown reason, and in return, he pays them a large kickback. The information he provides leads Bayonetta on a journey into her own past.

Luke
A freelance journalist who obsessively stalks Bayonetta. He seems to have a deep history with Bayonetta and harbors strong feelings of hatred for her. With a hook shot tucked into his sleeve, he dives into dangerous places, showing a guts and lightness of body that one would not expect from a journalist. He is a passionate man and a good tease for Bayonetta, but he can also outwit even Bayonetta with his unexpectedly daring actions.

Bayonetta hunts angels with a combination of weapons and body techniques equipped on both hands and feet in this ∞ (nonstop) climactic action game.

■Witch Time
By avoiding enemy attacks with a single stroke of the brush, Bayonetta's senses are sharpened, and her heightened concentration makes the flow of time around her seem slower. This makes it possible to perform combos more reliably and in greater numbers.

■Torcher Attack
During the witch hunts of centuries past, torture devices were used to take the lives of many witches. Bayonetta summons them from the depths of darkness to torture angels in order to avenge the grudge of her friends.

Wicked Weave
A witch's secret technique of manipulating demonic objects in her own hair. Bayonetta uses her hair as a catalyst to summon the inhabitants of the demon world, whom she has contracted with, into her world.

Summoning Great Demons and Beasts
This is a great technique involving the chanting of ancient spells and the consumption of large amounts of magical power. A single misstep can result in the user being eaten alive. If successful, the user can borrow the power of a ferocious demonic beast and inflict tremendous damage on the enemy.

■Weapons
Bayonetta can use a variety of weapons, including four guns, a whip and a Japanese sword.

■Combination
The art of concoction is an unexplored art that has been handed down only to the Umbra witch family. By combining the right ingredients, they can create elixirs with a variety of effects.

Accessories
A variety of magical devices used by the ancient witch clan. They are worn on the left and right arms. Each magical device can be used for a wide variety of abilities. Up to two can be used at the same time.

Techniques
The "Bullet Arts," a fantastic fighting technique developed by an ancient family of witches. The numerous secret techniques can only be used by making a contract with the magical world with the instruction manual.
