Spring Anime "Tower of God" to start airing on April 1! The main cast includes Taichi Ichikawa, Saori Hayami, and Yoshitada Otsuka. New PV also released!

It has been decided that "Tower of God," which will be adapted into an anime in Japan, the U.S., and South Korea starting in spring 2020, will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, BS11, Tochigi TV, and Gunma TV from April 1, 2020 (Wednesday). New information including the main cast was also announced.

Tower of God" is a webcomic serialized by SIU on NAVER WEBTOON, a South Korean webtoon portal, since 2010, and has been serialized on LINE Manga in Japan since 2018. The comic is currently translated into 28 languages.

As he climbs the tower with his friends, the mysterious power hidden in the night is revealed.

My name is Taichi Ichikawa, and I will be playing the role of Yoru. I play Yoru, a pure, innocent, and straightforward boy who is devoted to Rahel. At first, I felt like I was suddenly thrown into the work without really understanding the worldview. Hedon's actions were a mystery, his purpose was a mystery, and his appearance was a mystery. In addition, staff information was also announced: the TV anime adaptation will be directed by Takashi Sano (director of "Sengoku BASARA Judge End"). The series will be composed by Erika Yoshida, who has worked on a wide range of scripts for TV dramas and anime, with character design by Masashi Kudo (director of "Sanrio Boys") and Miho Tanino (animation director of "orange"), and music by Kevin Penki, an Australian composer. The animation production will be handled by Telecom Animation Film, a TMS Entertainment affiliate.

The original work of LINE Manga is very interesting, and I tried not to destroy the atmosphere of the original work, including the pictures. Due to the complexity of the setting, it was difficult to put together the many fascinating episodes into a TV series, but thanks to the efforts of Mr. Yoshida, the scenario writer, I think we were able to successfully extract the essential parts of the original story. We hope that fans of the original work will also be satisfied.
