The two usually play together on the "Maple Story M" server "Momiji" and are both players in the same guild. While there are many different styles of marriage these days, the two are not having a wedding ceremony, so Nexon Inc., a game distribution business, decided to present a photo wedding this time with the cooperation of Watabe Wedding Co.

When the groom, dressed in a crisp tuxedo, and the bride, looking stunning in her dress, appeared on the stage, the onsite staff cheered. At first, the bride and groom could not hide their nervousness at the sight of so many reporters, but as soon as the giant maple mushrooms appeared, the two smiled.

The groom even climbed into the mushroom for a commemorative photo, an unforgettable moment for "Maple Story" fans.

We interviewed the bride and groom after the shoot!

─ How did you feel about the photo wedding?

ankoron: I hadn't done a photo shoot like this since my coming-of-age ceremony. It was a lot of work.

Btoride: It was also very difficult to make facial expressions.

─ Did you two meet through a game?

Btoride: No, we were originally acquaintances and started playing the PC version of "Maple Story" after we started dating. I started playing from around the 7th anniversary until the 11th anniversary.

ankoron: I played for a little while in the beta version, but the PC version didn't suit me so we never played again, but we started playing together again when "Maple Story M" started.

Btoride I have been playing "Maple Story M" since it opened. Since "M" came out, we have had more opportunities to play games together. I'm half a serious gamer, so I used to play FPS all the time, but I didn't play games with ankoron because he's not very good at it. But with "Maple Story M" we can play together regardless of our playing skills, so that's a good thing.

─ What is your playing style?

ankoron: We both have different occupations (in the game), so the timing of when we are called upon is different for each of us. So, although we play at the same time, we go to different places and do different things.

Btoride: What occupation did you choose?

Btoride: I have always liked the warrior type. I like to be physically strong and to stand around so that I don't die, but I'm not in great demand. I'm waiting until there is a demon slayer in "M".

ankoron, in "M" you are a bishop, right? I've always chosen it because of my icon preference, and I've remained a captain ever since "M" came out. It is a sad profession that is not in much demand (laughs).

─ ─ "Maple Story M" has a marriage system, and I heard that you two are married separately in the game.

Btoride: Yes, I am system oriented. I used to be a guild master, and in order to distribute rewards to members, I decided to get married myself. This one (my wife) was also married separately.

─ What did you two say when you proposed to each other?

ankoron: Nothing in particular. When I met my parents, they asked me, "When are you going to get married? We just talked about it.

Btoride: So the fact that "M"'s marriage certificate was issued encouraged you to get married?

Btoride: It was close to that.

ankoron-san Without that, I don't know if we would have gotten married, right? I think that was one of the guidelines.

─ By the way, many people fall in love through games these days, but I don't think there are many who have made it to the goal line. Do you have any advice on how to reach marriage?

ankoron: I think it's the trigger. Without the photo wedding project, I think we would have put off getting married. It's all about momentum.

─ I think there are people who will start playing "Maple Story M" after reading this article. Do you have any advice for them?

Btoride: As with any game, it is important to interact with other people. Right now, there are many guilds in "M" but not many players, so all guilds are competing for people. That's why all guilds are kind to the weak, so you can get stronger and stronger. Playing "Maple Story M" alone is not fun, so I think it is more fun to play with others.

ankoron I think "Maple Story M" is a beginner-friendly game. Even if you don't have in-depth knowledge of the game, you can learn from other players if you interact with them, so I think it's easy to start in that respect. There are many kind people who will help you until you become stronger.

Btoride-san We have quite a few guild offline meetings, so maybe you can aim to meet people there as well (laughs).

ankoron-san Maybe some people can get married from there.

─ ─ Finally, is there anything you would like to say to the staff of "Maple Story M"?

Btoride Please release the Demon Slayer as soon as possible! If you don't come out soon, I may quit "M" (laughs).
