2021 anime "MARS RED," based on a music reading play, will feature Yu Hatanaka, Junichi Suwabe, Akira Ishida, and Kenichi Suzumura as main cast members! PV also released!

The main cast, character visuals, and the first PV of "MARS RED," which will be adapted into an anime in 2021, have been announced.

MARS RED" is based on the music reading play of the same title written, scripted, and directed by playwright Fumio Fujisawa, with main visuals by popular manga artist Karanoke. Set in the Taisho era (1912-1926), it depicts the battle between the Japanese government's anti-vampire agency, the "16th Special Mission Unit," a.k.a. Zero Agency, and vampires.

The TV anime adaptation will be directed by Kohei Hatano, with Junichi Fujisaki writing the series composition and screenplay, Junichi Karasaki drafting the characters, and SIGNAL.MD in charge of animation production.

The main cast of the film has just been announced. Hidetaro Kurisu, one of the strongest vampires in Japan and a newcomer to the Zero Agency, will be played by Yu Hatanaka, Colonel Yoshinobu Maeda, the strongest mankind has ever seen, will be played by Junichi Suwabe, mad scientist Takeuchi will be played by Akira Ishida, and Kenichi Suzumura will play Swa, who has been a vampire since the Edo era.

Synopsis＞
