Sega's Masterpiece Flight Shooter Recreated on Switch! SEGA AGES G-LOC AIR BATTLE" Details Revealed

SEGA Games has released detailed information on the upcoming Nintendo Switch software "SEGA AGES G-LOC AIR BATTLE.

G-LOC: AIR BATTLE" is an arcade game released by SEGA (now Sega Interactive) in May 1990. After 30 years, this game will appear as "SEGA AGES G-LOC AIR BATTLE" for Nintendo Switch.

Based on the 1987 arcade game "Afterburner II," this 3D flight shooting game allows players to enjoy jet fighter air battles with simple Vulcan, missile, and throttle controls.

This title also features a "moving cabinet" that simulates the "sensory experience" of the Nintendo 3DS "SEGA 3D Reprint Project," which was very popular. The "Deluxe Type" screen swings from side to side as you get into the movable seat, and the Switch screen does its best to reproduce the same effect. The player can also select a nonmovable cockpit type or a vintage screen.

Introduction of each game mode

In addition, information about Arcade Mode and AGES Mode was also released.

■Arcade Mode
Arcade Mode is a mode in which players can enjoy games that faithfully reproduce the arcade version. The player can choose from three difficulty levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Basically, the game is played from the front view of the cockpit, but when enemies move around behind the player, the game can be played in third-person view, in which the player's aircraft is displayed on the screen.

■AGES Mode
AGES mode is a mode that allows players to enjoy new missions more comfortably. The lock-on cursor has also been sped up while the weapon's search range has been improved. This mode allows players to aim for the downed king in greater comfort.

Other Features
The game also features an online ranking function that allows players to enjoy replays of advanced players. The game can be played on three difficulty levels in arcade mode, AGES mode, and five types of freestyle. In addition, users can freely set the HD vibration settings and the "Auto Vulcan" setting, which reduces the number of control buttons.
