Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Squad DX" for Switch launches today! A dungeon RPG in which you become a Pokémon and help Pokémon in need!

Pokémon Inc. released the dungeon RPG "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Squad DX" for the Switch today, March 6, 2020.

This title is a remake of "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Squad and Red Rescue Squad" released in 2005 for the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance as a single title. One day, the main character wakes up in a world inhabited only by Pokémon and finds that he has become a Pokémon himself. As he listens to the stories of other Pokémon, he learns that various incidents are occurring in this world, and he and his partner form a rescue team. They help Pokémon in trouble and search for the reason why they became Pokémon. The "Mystery Dungeon" system, in which the terrain of a dungeon changes with each challenge, has been retained, but the graphics have been completely redesigned. The game also includes many additional elements, such as an "auto navigation" system that allows dungeons to be explored automatically.

■Rescue a rescue team that has collapsed in a dungeon!
While adventuring in dungeons, rescue team members sometimes fall down along the way because they cannot beat strong enemies or they run out of tools. There are two ways to save them in distress. There are two ways to help them in distress: "self-rescue" and "friend rescue.

How to proceed with "self-rescue
Form a separate team of rescue team members who are waiting at the camp and go to rescue your team member who has collapsed.

A separate team on standby departs from the peripper contact station and heads for the rescue.

A team in distress is found! The rescued team can resume their adventure from the floor where they fell.

How to proceed with "Friend Rescue
When you select "Friend Rescue," you can send a rescue request to another player. The requests will be collected at the Peripper Contact Center, where another player can receive the request and send a rescue team to the dungeon. The rescue is a success if the player finds his or her team fallen and speaks to them.

If the rescue is successful, the rescued player will be rewarded with equipment, pokes, and rescue points when he or she returns to the surface.
