Production of "Bungo Stray Dogs BEAST the Movie," a live-action film of the popular Bungo Stray Dogs! New stage "Bungo Stray Dogs" is to be performed!

The stage "Bungo Stray Dogs," which was announced as a theater movie last summer, has been titled "Bungo Stray Dogs BEAST the Movie.

The "Bungo Stray Dogs" is a battle-action film set in the fictional city of Yokohama, where characters named after real-life literary giants such as Nakajima Atsushi, Dazai Osamu, and Akutagawa Ryunosuke use their powers to fight. The battles are fought using abilities related to the works of the great writers who modeled for them, such as Dazai Osamu's "Ningen Shikkaku," which nullifies other powers when touched, and Kunikida Doppo's "Doppo Ginkaku," which allows the embodiment of what is written in a notebook. The original story is written by Kafka Asagiri and the manga by 35 Harukawa, and is serialized in the manga magazine "Young Ace. DEAD APPLE" was released nationwide in March 2018, and the third season of the TV anime aired in April 2019.
Various media mixes are still being developed, including novel versions of original stories, spin-off works, game adaptations, and stage adaptations.

This time, the stage "Bungo Stray Dogs" was announced to be made into a theater movie last summer, and its title was announced as "Bungo Stray Dogs BEAST the Movie".

In addition, a new stage play "Bungo Stray Dogs: Introduction - Hashigaki: The Secret Story of the Establishment of the Detective Agency, Osamu Dazai's Entrance Test" and a stage play "Bungo Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE" will also be performed.

Following on from my role on the stage, I am now entering the silver screen. I hope to deliver the charm and fun of "Bungo Stray Dogs" to as many people as possible through various media mixes.
I hope everyone will enjoy the movie version of "Bungo Stray Dogs"!

The cast members who have fought on stage will appear in the movie as well.
New cast members will join them. I myself am very excited about the situation where the organization is reversed, although the characters are the same.
And, of course, Shohei Hashimoto will be playing the lead role.

Bungo Stray Dogs BEAST" is an extravaganza of "Bungo Stray Dogs" currently on sale from Kadokawa Beans Bunko.
What if Ryunosuke Akutagawa, the "Port Mafia's bum dog," had joined the Armed Detective Agency? 　 What if Atsushi Nakajima, who possesses the "beast under the moon," had joined the Port Mafia? This film depicts an "if" world.
The film is the first film adaptation of "BEAST," which has gained great popularity among "Bungo Streidog" fans, featuringnot only Akutagawa and Atsushi, who are not seen in the original story, but also Osamu Dazai's friend Sakunosuke Oda.

Stage "Bungo Stray Dogs: Introduction - Hashigaki -" in 2020

The stage "Bungo Stray Dogs: Jyoo: Hashigaki" is a different project from the previous stage "Bungo Stray Dogs".

The stage will feature two episodes based on the novel version of "Bungo Stray Dogs" currently on sale from Kadokawa Beans Bunko: "The Secret Story of the Founding of the Detective Agency" and "Osamu Dazai's Entrance Test".
