The five girls are high school girls who attend the prestigious Queen's Mayfair School, and they hide behind the fact that they are spies for different countries. The five girls use their status as high school girls attending the prestigious Queen's Mayfair School as a cover to carry out various missions in the capital city of London, which has become the front line of the "Shadow War" in which spies from many countries are engaged in dark deeds. Directed by Masanori Tachibana, series composition and script by Ichiro Okochi, original character design by Kohaku Kurosei, and music by Yuki Kajiura. At an event held at the Maihama Amphitheater in April 2018, it was announced that a completely new sequel to the TV anime would be released in theaters with a total of six chapters.

The long-awaited sequel to "Spy" x "Steampunk" x "High School Girl" begins its mission on the silver screen!

The original animation "Princess Principal," which aired in 2017 and gained popularity for its hard-hitting storyline and innovative steampunk-based worldview, announced at an event in April 2018 the production and theatrical release of a six-chapter sequel that depicts the TV anime's subsequent story.

　The story takes place at the end of the 19th century. The Kingdom of Albion is separated due to the Republican Revolution. London, the capital divided by a huge wall, is ruled by the Kingdom in the east and the Republic in the west, and has become the front line of a shadow war in which spies from various countries are active in the dark. Ten years after the Revolution, five girls at the Kingdom's prestigious Queen's Mayfair School are working as Republican spies under the cover of high school girls. After thwarting an assassination attempt on the Queen, and after a rest period in Casablanca, the girls received new orders from Control. This mission leads the five girls, Team Shirohato, into a major vortex that will shake the country...
