Golden Kamui" Comics vol. 23, anime DVD included, is now on sale! Animated version of the forbidden episode "Shikaku Zooki" version!

From the popular manga series "Golden Kamui," which has sold a total of more than 11 million copies, "Comics Volume 23: Anime DVD Included Edition" will be released. The price is 3,600 yen (excluding tax). The characters appearing in the fourth volume and their casts were also revealed at the same time.

Golden Kamui" is a popular comic currently serialized in Weekly Young Jump by Satoru Noda. Set in Hokkaido at the end of the Meiji Era, the story follows the adventures of a former army soldier, Saichi Sugimoto, and an Ainu girl, Ashi (Ripa), who are after Ainu buried treasure. The Ainu culture, customs, and cuisine are realistically depicted in the work, making it a work that can be enjoyed as historical entertainment as well.

The first season of the TV anime version will air in April 2018, the second in October 2018, and the production of the third season has already been decided.

Golden Kamui" Comics Volume 23: Anime DVD Included Edition to be Released!

The 23rd volume of the "Golden Kamui" comics will be released with an anime DVD on September 18, 2020 (Friday). The limited pre-order production will be available until July 14 (Tue.). The DVD will include an animated version of the forbidden episode, "Shikaku Zooki" (The Seclusion of Animals).

＜Synopsis of "The Seclusion of the Animals"
A situation occurs in which animals are slaughtered in the Ainu Kotan area. The suspected murderer, Shikitsu Anehata, is a scholar and one of the tattooed escapees from prison. However, Tanigaki, whose Murata gun was stolen by Anehata, is mistaken for the murderer and captured. Sugimoto tries to clear up the misunderstanding, but the Ainu demand that the real culprit be brought to them within three days. According to Tanigaki, Anehata had shown a strong interest in brown bears. Can Tanigaki save Anehata and retrieve the tattoo before the brown bear eats her?

■New Characters and Cast Revealed
A new character, Anehata Shikaku, a prisoner with a shocking tattoo, will appear in the "Shikaku Zoology" version of the anime. He is voiced by Hideyuki Hori.

When I received a call from the manager asking me about my role in Golden Kamuy, my first thought when I heard about the role of Anehata Shikaku in the film was, "What? What is that? Even if it wasn't for broadcast, I thought, "Is that really possible? Is that even possible? At the same time, I thought it might be an interesting role and said yes. On the day of recording, the director reminded me not to be perverted, but I was able to enjoy playing the role while thinking that I was a pervert. Please enjoy the non-perverted Anehata Shitsugu.

A 15-second commercial that introduces the synopsis of the anime in a fast-paced manner has also been released.

Free Irasshito-ya collaboration stickers will be distributed!

In addition, to commemorate the release of "Golden Kamui" Comics Volume 23, Anime DVD bundle edition, stickers collaborated with Illustrator Mifune Takashi's free material site "Irastoya" will be distributed for free at animate stores nationwide from March 21, 2020 (Saturday).

The stickers depict Sugimoto, Asi (Lipa), Anehata Shikitsu and cute animals, all newly drawn by Irastuya.
