Dwango Inc. announced the cancellation of "Nico Nico Ultra Conference 2020" and "Toukaigi 2020," which were scheduled to be held at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, on April 18 (Sat.) and 19 (Sun.), 2020. In addition, it was decided to hold the "Nico Nico Net Cho-Kaigi 2020" internet event.

The cancellation of these events is in response to the spread of the "new coronavirus infection" and the government's policy of voluntary restraint on events. Nico Nico Net Cho-Kaigi 2020" to be held for 8 days

The "Nico Nico Ultra Conference 2020" as a real event has been canceled, but in its place, six new days will be added to the scheduled "Nico Nico Ultra Conference 2020" schedule, for a total of eight days from April 12 (Sun.) to April 19 (Sun.), 2020. It has been decided that "Nico Nico Net Cho-Kaigi 2020" will be held for a total of eight days from April 12 (Sun.) to April 19 (Sun.), 2020.

The event aims to be the largest internet festival in Japan, bringing together popular Nico Nico Nico Cho-Kaigi projects, content that has become a hot topic on the internet, and live and entertainment content that has been canceled due to the event's self-restraint policy.

During the event, Nico Nico Live Broadcasting will offer interactive communication between performers and viewers through on-screen comments, a realistic viewing experience with free camera work utilizing binaural microphones and no audience, and a new live production experience with AR technology added to the actual stage. The event will also feature a new live performance experience that adds AR technology to the actual stage.

The highlights of the event include "Cho-Kabuki Supported by NTT," a fusion of traditional arts, kabuki, and the latest technology, "VTuber Fes Japan," a music live performance by virtual characters using the latest technology, and a live broadcast of "VOCALOID Fes" from April 18 (Sat.
