Spring Anime "Haxion Daimao 2020", OP music by Tamio Okuda! Additional cast includes Noriko Hidaka, Toshio Furukawa, Haruka Tomatsu, Tomokazu Seki, etc.

Theme song information was announced for "Haxon Daimao 2020," scheduled to air on April 11, 2020 (Saturday) at 5:30 p.m. on the Yomiuri and Nippon Television networks nationwide (*excluding some areas). The opening theme song will be Tamio Okuda's "Satesuhaction" and the ending theme song will be "Yawn if you yawn" by Friends.

This is the first new work in 50 years from the TV animation "Haxon Daimaou," which began airing in 1969. Inspired by the fairy tale "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp," the gag animation returns as a new work set in modern Tokyo.

The main character in this work is "Akubi," the daughter of Haku-shon Daima-oh. Akubi comes to "Yodayama Kantaro," the grandson of Haxon Daimaou's master Kantaro, to train to fulfill his dream of becoming the queen. Akubi then struggles to find Kantaro's dream while training him.

The director is Atsushi Nigorikawa, who also directed "Boku no Tonari Neighbor to the Dark God of Destruction. Atsushi Nigorikawa, who directed "Boku no Tonari Neighbor to Ankoku Kaiyogenshigami ga Aru" (The God of Destruction is Next Door), Hiroko Kanasugi, who wrote the screenplay for the "Jewelpet" series, is the series' writer, and Hiroko Kanasugi, who designed the characters for the spin-off "Yowarete tobi de! The animation will be produced by Tatsunoko Productions, which produced "Haxon Daimaou" (1969).

OP & ED theme songs also announced; OP theme is "Sates Haction" by Tamio Okuda.

The opening theme song "Satesuhaction" was written by Tamio Okuda himself. In addition to writing the lyrics, composing, and arranging the song, he himself played all the instruments, including guitar, bass, and drums. During the recording of the song, he listened to "Haxon Daimaou's Song" from 50 years ago and cooked Daimaou's favorite dish, hamburgers, for dinner, thus completing the song while keeping close to the world of Haxon Daimaou.

The ending theme song, "Yawn if you do it," is performed by "Friends," a five-piece mixed male-female Shinsen-style band formed in June 2015. In the three years since their formation, the band has performed at numerous major festivals and had successful one-man shows at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL and NHK HALL, and is gaining popularity for their diverse sound. In this song, the band perfectly expresses the world of the anime with their characteristic rhythmical and lively sound and dreamy, positive lyrics.

I'm Tamio Okuda of "Jaja-jaja-jan," popping out in my casual clothes! I am Tamio Okuda of the "Friends! I have the honor of performing the opening theme song for the anime "Haxon Daimaou 2020," which will begin in April. The title of the song is "Sates Hacchon". Haxon Daimao has been my favorite anime work since I was young, and the opening theme was a very cool song. I hope that many people will listen to this new song, while keeping the quality of the previous opening theme song. We hope many people will listen to it.

Additional Casting Announced

Additional cast members for the full-length anime have also been announced.

Kyotaro Muramoto will play Kantaro's father and Noriko Hidaka will play his mother. Toshio Furukawa will play Kantaro's grandfather, Kanichi, the owner of the 50-year-old pot. Haruka Tomatsu will play Mario Kenmari, Kantaro's best friend; Tomokazu Seki will play Yumizu Kimamari, a rich man; and Cho will play Uncle Solekara, a mysterious character who appears suddenly in between stories and only makes a clapping sound.

A pizza recipe contest will also be held.

In addition, as a collaborative event with the film, the pizza delivery company PIZZA-LA will hold the "Akubi-chan Original Pizza Recipe Contest" from Monday, March 16, 2020, in collaboration with the main character Akubi, who is a big fan of pizza.

The contest will be held by soliciting original pizza recipes via the official Pizza Pizza Twitter. The grand prize winner will receive a year's supply of pizza as well as the right to have their original pizza appear in the TV anime and have their name listed in the end credits.
