It was announced that "Akudama Drive," an original TV animation produced by Kazutake Odaka and Rui Komatsuzaki of "Danganronpa," Tomohisa Taguchi of "Persona 4 the Golden" and "Digimon Adventure: LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna," and studio Pierrot, which produced the "Osomatsu-san" and "Tokyo Ghouls" series The original TV anime "Akudama Drive," which will be animated by Tomohisa Taguchi, who produced "Osomatsu-san" and "Tokyo Ghoul: Tokyo Ghoul" series, will begin airing in July 2020.

The original TV anime "Akudama Drive" is a story about bad guys who follow their own way of life with stylish images.
The story and character drafts will be handled by Kazutake Odaka, scenario writer and representative of TooKyoGames, and Rui Komatsuzaki, character designer. The two, who have worked together on the "Danganronpa" game series, will join hands again for the animation.
The director is Tomohisa Taguchi, who worked on "Persona 4 the Golden" and the theater version of "Digimon Adventure: LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna. Animation production will be handled by studio Pierrot, which has produced the "Osomatsu-san" and "Tokyo Ghouls" series and is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
