The cancelled "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway" fan event will be streamed online on March 24!

The "GUMDAM FAN GATHERING-'Senko no Hathaway' Heirs to GUMDAM-" fan event for the anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway" was canceled on March 24, 2020 to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus and for the safety of participants. The event will be broadcast on YouTube Live and other sites from 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2012.

The animation film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway" is the second film in the "UC NexT 0100" project, which weaves a new century of the cosmic century. Based on the novel of the same title published in 1989 by Yoshiyuki Tomino, the director and creator of Gundam. The film will be released on July 23, 2020 (Thursday, national holiday) as a new animated film in a trilogy of theater versions.

To all Gundam fans who are looking forward to "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway", I am Sunrise's producer, Mr. Ogata. Originally, we would have liked to unveil and share the kick-off about "Senko no Hathaway" in front of you, but from the perspective of preventing the recent spread of the new coronavirus, we have decided to switch to a non-spectator delivery program, putting the safety of our fans, cast members, and related personnel first.
We would like to express our sympathy to those who are suffering from the effects of the new coronavirus and sincerely hope that they will be able to return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
Although we have been withholding most of the information about this work, we are going to give you an opportunity to tell you about it, although in a different form. As you know, this work is based on a novel created by Yoshiyuki Tomino more than 30 years ago. Since then, it has been enjoyed by many people through video games, plastic models, figurines, and other forms of media, but for the production of the movie "Senko no Hathaway," we will be renewing the main cast, mobile suits, character designs, music, and other aspects. The Earth Federation government had become even more corrupt, with the upper echelons not only accelerating the pollution of the Earth, but also carrying out an inhumane policy of "manhunting" by forcibly taking civilians into space.
The anti-Earth Federation government organization "Mufti" led by a man called "Mufti Nabiyu Erin" stood up against such corruption in the Earth sphere.
