Spring anime "Kingdom" releases main PV depicting the battle of Qin Guo vs. the Hengjing Army with OP sung by BiSH in the background! The artist of the ED theme has also been decided.

From the TV anime "Kingdom" scheduled to air from April 2020, the main PV depicting the fierce battle between the Qin Dynasty and the Hengjing Army has been released. It has also been decided that "BiSH" will perform the OP theme and "waterweed" will perform the ED theme.

Kingdom" is a TV anime based on the manga of the same title by Yasuhisa Hara, which is serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha). The first series was broadcast from June 2012 to February 2013, and the second series from June 2013 to March 2014, gaining popularity.

The third series, scheduled to air on NHK Sogo in April 2020, will be directed by Kenichi Imaizumi, with series composition by Noboru Takagi, character design by Tsune Abe, and animation production by Studio Signpost. The third series will take place in the Gasshogun Arc, which is said to be the largest scale battle in the history of "Kingdom," and will depict the fierce story of the Qin Dynasty as it confronts the onslaught of the Gasshogun approaching Hamyang, the royal capital of the Qin Dynasty.

Main PV revealed

Today, March 18, the main PV depicting the battle between the State of Qin and the Hepington Army was released.

Starting with a surprise attack by the Chuxian army, the Qin Dynasty is plunged into an unprecedented crisis as the Hepington army attacks. The fierce battles between the unique generals of the two opposing armies are depicted in a spectacular manner. Also featured are Li Moku (CV. Tomoyuki Morikawa), a genius military strategist from the State of Cho who has launched a joint army to prevent the unification of China, and Qin Dynasty's Yuzei, who is fighting back with all his might to ensure the survival of his nation. Their great determination for this battle can be seen. The song playing in the background is the OP theme "TOMORROW," which is being unveiled for the first time.

The artists for the OP & ED themes have been decided!

It has also been decided that the OP theme "TOMORROW" will be performed by "BiSH," a punk band without instruments, and the ED theme (song title to be determined) by the melodic hardcore band "waterweed.

<Story>
In the western Chinese state of Qin Dynasty, there was a young general, Nobu, who aspired to become a "great general under heaven" as he and his now deceased best friend had dreamed of.
He was involved in a coup d'état that took place in the royal capital, and fate brought him into contact with the current King of Qin, Eisei Yeisei, and together they set out on the battlefield to fulfill their own dreams and achieve Yeisei's goal of "the unification of China. Overcoming the death of his mentor Ouqi, who died in battle, Shin steadily climbs the ladder to his dream while engaging in friendly competition with other captains of the same generation, such as Mouten and Ouhen. Meanwhile, Yomei, too, is working hard to expand his power within the court in order to regain control of the country from his rival, Lu Biwei, with a grand goal in mind.
Meanwhile, the Qin Dynasty succeeded in capturing Sanyang, one of the most important military bases, bringing it one step closer to the unification of China. However, the genius military strategist Li Moku of the Zhao Kingdom, feeling threatened by this move that could change the power structure of the Seven Kingdoms, launches a joint invasion of the six kingdoms of Chuxing, Zhao, Wei, Yan, Han, and Qi, with Chuxing's Prime Minister Shunshenkun as general-in-chief, and begins an invasion of Qin Dynasty! Qin Dynasty!
In this unprecedented crisis, the State of Qin rallies all the military power it possesses to intercept the combined armies!
