Anime "Baki" Dai-surutaishai-hen, theme song artists decided as GRANRODEO for OP and Ena Fujita for ED!

It has been announced that GRANRODEO will sing the OP theme song and Ena Fujita will sing the ED theme song for the anime series "Baki," which will be distributed exclusively on Netflix in 2020.

The original "Baki" series, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), is based on the epic battle to the death between the youngest underground fighting champion, Baki Hanma, and his father, Yujiro Hanma, who is called "the strongest creature on earth". This popular fighting manga depicts the battles of various martial artists, centered on the epic battle to the death between Baki and his father, Yujiro Hanma, who is known as the "strongest creature on earth.

The second season of the "Baki" anime, the "Greatest Death Penalty" version, will be distributed by the end of 2020 and will continue to be directed by Toshitaka Hirano, with series composition by Tatsuhiko Urahata, and animation production by TMS Entertainment, Inc. The OP theme will be performed by GRANRODEO, a rock unit consisting of Noriaki Taniyama aka "KISHOW" and Masaaki Iizuka aka "e-ZUKA". Since their debut in 2005 with "Go For It! In recent years, they have held live concerts at arena-sized venues such as Nippon Budokan, Saitama Super Arena, Makuhari Messe Exhibition Hall, and Osaka Castle Hall.

Also in charge of the ED theme is Ena Fujita, who released her first single "Untellable Things in Songs" in 2018, attracting attention with its radical jacket photo and music video. The music video for her second single, "Tsuki ga Eaten Up," also recorded 2.5 million views on YouTube. Currently, she continues various activities such as variety show appearances, gravure idol, and acting.

I am very happy to be in charge of the OP for the "Baki" Death Penalty Arc followed by the "Dai-Shiridai-Sai" Arc. For this song, I tried to express the feelings before a fight, walking towards the ring with the cheers of the audience, climbing into the ring and the whole venue being uplifted, with indigenous rhythm, ethnic melody and singalong in the chorus. I hope Baki fans will like it!
