New TV anime "Decadence" from Yuzuru Tachikawa and Studio NUT to begin airing in summer 2020!

It has been announced that "Decadence," which has been set to become an animated TV series, will begin airing in the summer of 2020. Comments from director Yuzuru Tachikawa and producer Takuya Kadoki of NUT have also arrived.

Decadance" is a new original TV animation produced by NUT, which has worked on "Jujo Senki" and other works. The director is Yuzuru Tachikawa, the script is by Koji Seko, and the character design is by Shinichi Kurita.

This is the first original TV series in a long time! I am entering the middle stage of my directing career, but I am making this film with a renewed spirit to challenge a genre I have no experience in. Even now, I have a lot of cuts at hand that I don't know how to handle (laughs). Decadence is a drama that unfolds in a large scale worldview, battles with monsters, a huge mobile fortress, and many other highlights! Because it is original, there are many things that cannot be told yet. Please watch it through to the end of the story! Thank you for your support.

Producer Takuya Kakunoki's Comment
I think this work started when I was working on the TV series of "Childhood Diary" and I was talking with Director Tachikawa and P. Tanaka of KADOKAWA (*Editor's note: Mr. Sho Tanaka of KADOKAWA, who was the producer of "Childhood Diary") about an original story. Since it was an original work, it took time to go back and forth, but with the help of various staff members, we were able to build the world view little by little. When I came to my senses, it turned out to be a very difficult work. ...... How did it come to this? This will be NUT's first original work made with our dependable staff.
