The manga "BLEACH," which has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) since 2001, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in August 2021. On March 21, it was announced that a "BLEACH" 20th anniversary project has been launched to commemorate the anniversary.

The project includes the serialization of "BURN THE WITCH," a new work by "BLEACH" author Kubo Taito, the release of a medium-length animation of "BURN THE WITCH," an exhibition of original "BLEACH" drawings, and an anime adaptation of the final chapter of "BLEACH," "Sennen Kusen Arc. I think everyone must have forgotten about half of the things that have been announced all at once. I've forgotten about half of them, and I'm just now rewriting this comment. The last chapter of "BLEACH" didn't make it to the final chapter during the anime, so it's no wonder. But now it's going to be made into an anime. I heard that it is the 20th anniversary of "BLEACH". Thank goodness for that. I am grateful for the 20th anniversary. The reason why my words up to this point seem to be about something else is because I haven't decided on the big picture yet, like "We're going to do it on a big scale! I hope to cooperate with them as much as possible to make it a good one. Well, the other day I just selected some of the cast members for the Knights of the Star Cross. It was fun.

New work "BURN THE WITCH" serialization has started!

In addition, a new serialization of "BURN THE WITCH" will begin in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in the summer of 2020. This work was originally published in the 2018 issue #33 of "Weekly Shonen Jump" as a 50th anniversary commemorative work. A new episode that is a prequel to this read-out will be the new serial that will begin this time.

A medium-length animated feature film of this work is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2020. Asami Tano will play the role of the main character "Ninny Sequin" and Yuna Yamada will play the role of the other main character "Eru Shinbashi," and Tatsuro Kawano will be the director.

The film will be directed by Tatsuro Kawano.

I wasn't really going to draw the continuation of "BURN THE WITCH," or rather, I was going to draw it as a hobby and let my family read it, but my supervisor was good enough to get me to put it in Jump. It was my first experience to submit a story to be animated and also to draw a manuscript, which was interesting, and I think that both were good things. The manuscript is already finished, so by the time you read this, I will be working on Dobu-Mori. Please wait for the release while playing Dobu-Mori. Dobu-Mori is an abbreviation for Animal Crossing.

BLEACH" Original Drawing Exhibition

In 2021, an exhibition of original "BLEACH" drawings will be held. The exhibition, which will be the first of its kind, will feature color illustrations and raw manuscripts drawn over the 15 years of "BLEACH" serialization.
