Free update for Switch's "Ring Fit Adventure" is now available! New "Rhythm Game" and other new features for playing like a sound game have been added!

Nintendo has started distributing a free update (Ver. 1.2.0) for the currently available "Ring Fit Adventure" fitness game for Nintendo Switch.

Ring Fit Adventure" is a fitness adventure game in which players attach the Joy-Cons to the included "Ring Con" and "Leg Band" peripherals and wear them on their bodies, moving their entire body in time with the movements on the screen. The "Ring-Con" and "Leg Band" recognize the movements of the player's arms, shoulders, chest, abdomen, back, legs, and other parts of the body, which are then linked to the characters. After playing the game, the motion IR camera on the Joy-Con is used to measure the pulse rate after exercise. It is also possible to check exercise time and calories burned.

A free update (Ver. 1.2.0) that allows users to enjoy additional content has been released for this title.

Newly added is a "Rhythm Game" in which players aim for a high score by pushing, pulling, and rotating the ringtone in time with the rhythm. The game can be enjoyed with a total of 17 songs, including songs from popular Nintendo game titles such as "Super Mario Odyssey," "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," and "Splatoon 2," as well as songs included in this title.

In the rhythm game, two difficulty levels, "beginner" and "advanced," will be available for each song. In addition, two modes are available: the "arms + legs" mode, which is played by holding the ringtone in front of the body, and the "stomach + legs" mode, which is played by holding the ringtone against the stomach in a "stomach guard" position. In addition, the player will be able to play along with the adventurers in the adventure.

In addition, the voice of "Ring," the adventurer's sidekick, can be selected from male (Japanese CV: Yuki Shin) or female (Japanese CV: Shizuka Ito), and from 10 different languages. A "jogging" option has also been added that allows players to run through various courses during the adventure without having to battle. This can be done in either the normal mode, in which you advance by stomping your feet on the spot, or in the silent mode, in which you advance by bending your knees.

In addition, the number of lists that can be added has been increased to 20 for the feature that allows players to create their own fitness lists by freely combining fit skills and mini-games that can be used in the adventure. The game has also been improved so that players can continue their fitness even after defeating enemies in an adventure.
