Broadcasting finally begins on 4/5! TV Animation "Kingdom" Episode 1 Synopsis & Advance Cuts Released! TV Anime "Kingdom" Joint Forces" is also released!

The TV anime "Kingdom," which is scheduled to start airing on NHK Sogo at 24:15 on April 5 (Sun.), 2020, has received an advance scene cut from the first episode and a synopsis.

Kingdom" is a TV animation based on the manga of the same title by Yasuhisa Hara, which is serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha). The first series was broadcast from June 2012 to February 2013, and the second series from June 2013 to March 2014, gaining popularity.

The third series, scheduled to air on NHK General from April 2020, will be directed by Kenichi Imaizumi, with series composition by Noboru Takagi, character design by Tsune Abe, and animation production by Studio Signpost. The third series will enter the Gasshogun Arc, which is said to be the largest scale battle in the history of "Kingdom," and will depict the fierce story of the Qin Dynasty as it confronts the onslaught of the Gasshogun approaching Hamyang, the royal capital of the Qin Dynasty.

<Synopsis
Qin Dynasty, China, B.C. Shin, who was born as a servant, aspires to be a "great general under the heaven" and has become a "thousand man general" with a thousand men under his command. He has been spending all his time in battle with his military strategist, Karyoten, in the "flying squadron" that he leads. He reunited with Rokuomi and Kan'o, the military commanders of the late general Wang Ki, who had been exploring various regions on their own, and heard from them that there were disturbing movements in various countries, especially in Zhao Kingdom.
This was a harbinger of a great "storm" that would bring unprecedented danger to the Qin Dynasty.

<Story>
In the western Chinese state of Qin Dynasty, there was a young general named Shin who aspired to become "a great general under heaven," as dreamed by his now deceased close friend.
He was involved in a coup d'état that took place in the royal capital, and fate brought him into contact with the current King of Qin, Eisei Yeisei, and together they set out on the battlefield to fulfill their own dreams and achieve Yeisei's goal of "unifying China. Overcoming the death of his mentor Ouqi, who died in battle, Shin steadily climbs the ladder to his dream while engaging in friendly competition with other captains of the same generation, including Mouten and Ouhen. Meanwhile, Yomei, too, is working hard to expand his power within the court in order to regain control of the country from his rival, Lu Biwei, with a grand goal in mind.
Meanwhile, the Qin Dynasty succeeded in capturing Sanyang, one of the most important military bases, bringing it one step closer to the unification of China. However, the genius military strategist Li Moku of the Zhao Kingdom, feeling threatened by this move that could change the power structure of the Seven Kingdoms, launches a combined invasion of the six kingdoms of Chuxing, Zhao, Wei, Yan, Han, and Qi, with Chuxing's Prime Minister, Shunsheng, as general-in-chief, to invade Qin Dynasty!
