Lego and Mario collaborate! Gimmick-packed "LEGO Mario, Starter Set" is available for pre-order today!

LEGO announced that it will release "LEGO Mario and the Beginning of Adventure: Starter Set" and the first expansion set in collaboration with Nintendo's popular character "Super Mario" on August 1, 2020. Pre-orders began today, April 8, at LEGO stores nationwide (excluding some stores). Prices are open to the public.

LEGO Mario and the Adventure Adventure Starter Set" is a LEGO starter set that allows players to enjoy interacting with LEGO Mario in a game course made of LEGO bricks.

The included LEGO Mario has LCD displays for his eyes, mouth, and stomach, and he shows various expressions and reactions in response to movements, colors, and action blocks. It also has a speaker that plays familiar sound effects and background music from the game series. This LEGO Mario can be recreated running a course of LEGO bricks from the starting dirt pipe to the goal pole, fighting Krivo and Bowser Jr. and collecting virtual coins.

In addition, scores can be recorded by utilizing the LEGO Super Mario smartphone app. It is also equipped with digital assembly instructions to support Lego building and provide tips for creation and play.

In addition to this, "Kosen Koopa Castle! Challenge" and "Pac'n Flower's Balance Challenge. The modular design is the same as that of the starter set, so players can freely expand and create their own courses.
