Action RPG "Star Ocean: Anamnesis" for smartphones, Episode 3 announced! New characters and collaboration information also revealed!

Square Enix announced Episode 3 "Star Ocean: Anamnesis -The Leash Code-" in the action RPG "Star Ocean: Anamnesis" for smartphones, which will be released after maintenance on April 30, 2020. New characters, roadmap for 2020, and collaboration information were also released at the same time.

Star Ocean: Anamnesis" is the first smartphone title in the "Star Ocean" series. With the same worldview as the previous titles in the series, players can enjoy the exhilarating action battles that have become a hallmark of the series. Players can also freely combine characters from the series as party members.

Outline of "Episode 3

Episode 3 "Star Ocean: Anamnesis -The Leash Code-" will be released on April 30 (Thu) after the maintenance of "Episode 3 CHAPTER:01". Please refer to the following for the story and new characters.

Story
A young man who runs the battlefields of the Sea of Stars has "earthling genes.
The captains have solved the mystery of the Daft System and gained many friends, but they have not yet fulfilled their promise to send back Tika, a girl from the future, to the future. The captains set their sights on the Azurite star system, home to the Stardust Bazaar, an autonomous asteroid field where many people and information are gathered. In the Azurite system, however, an interstellar war is raging between the human-dominated planet Raza and the subhuman-dominated planet Ober.
Trying to avoid war, the captains meet Heath Bureau, a soldier from the planet Raza who operates a lifeboat to deliver refugees from the war on the planet Ober to the neutral zone, Stardust Bazaar. The captains of the ship, who are asked to protect the refugees and escort them to the neutral zone, allow Heath and his crew to board the ship temporarily, but a startling report comes from Valka S90, who inspects the ship.
Mr. Heath is ...... an Earthling."
The captains are led into the abyss of a new cosmic mystery by an "earthling gene" that should not exist.

It seems that she and Heath have an inseparable relationship.

The opening movie has been released!

The opening movie of Episode 3 has also been released. The opening theme song "Vanishment" is sung by "SHADOW OF LAFFANDOR", who also wrote the theme song for the Episode3 trailer "Hikari Maiu Tokoro".

SHADOW OF LAFFANDOR" is a music unit consisting of Keiko Yauchi (lyrics/composition/song) and Naoyuki Chikatani (sound production), who debuted in 2017 with "SHADOW OF LAFFANDOR Lafandor Country Story: Reminiscence of a Girl in Light and Shadow.
