Comments from Junichi Sato and Tomotaka Shibayama, directors of the film, are as follows (all in Japanese only).

Director Junichi Sato comments
I asked Yorushika to create "Yoru Gyo" after he saw the work in progress. Since this is the scene where Hinode discovers the true feelings of the main character, Muge, the song would normally be quite calm, but we thought that a slightly sad song with a little rhythm would be good if it was Yorshika's song, so we asked her to try it. When I heard the song for the first time, I was delighted to find that the words transcended their meaning and spun to paint a landscape of the heart, in the style of Yorshka's music. Combined with the emotions of Muge and Hinode, I could imagine a further expansion.

Director Tomotaka Shibayama comments
I remember that Director Sato, who is also the sound director, told me that I did not have to be too close to the work. When I received "Yoru Gyo" and listened to the music for the first time, I was surprised at the way the image seemed to expand. I was pleasantly surprised when I listened to the song for the first time along with the video, and the images seemed to expand. Thank you very much for the wonderful music.

I found the magic that lets me see you...
Miyo Sasaki is a free-spirited, slightly eccentric eighth grader. Her classmates call her "Muge (Infinity Mystery Man)," and she is always cheerful and full of energy both at school and at home. Muge has feelings for her classmate Kento Hinode and boldly makes advances toward him every day, but he never takes her seriously. She is undeterred and continues to appeal to him, but she has a very special secret that she can't tell anyone. ......
The only way she can stay close to her beloved Hinode. The only way to stay close to Hinode, whom she loves so much, is to become a cat and go to see him. When she is "human," she is distant from Hinode, but when she is "cat," she can get close to him.
But the longer I spend as a cat, the more the boundary between cat and myself becomes blurred. I want to stay close to him forever. But I can no longer go back to being "me.
A coming-of-age fantasy about finding "me" that unfolds through the world of cats.
