First, let's take a look at the top 10 works in order of the number of votes.

No. 1 "ARP Backstage Pass"......637 votes
No. 2 "ID:INVADED ID:INVADED"......526 votes
No. 3 "I don't want to hurt you, so I'm going to swing extremely hard on defense."......86 votes

No. 6 "Koisuru asteroid"......49 votes
No.7 "HIQUE! TO THE TOP"......46 votes
No.7 "I'll die if my guess is Budokan"......46 votes
No.9 "Darwin's Game"......45 votes
No.10 "Don't touch the video lab!......44 votes

Among the numerous winter anime titles, the two that ranked first and second in a dead heat far outpaced the others. ARP Backstage Pass", an anime based on a real-life virtual idol using AR, took the top spot. The popularity of the anime version of "ARP Backstage Pass" has not waned at all, and it seems that many fans watched the show and actively voted for it in this poll. Although the audience was almost exclusively girls, and there was a large gap between those who watched the work and those who did not, the work was a clear winner.

The second-place winner , "ID: INVADED, " was the rival to "ARP Backstage Pass. As a completely original work by Ei Aoki, we had no idea what the story would be about before the broadcast began. Even after the broadcast, it was difficult to grasp the worldview, and the mystery kept viewers in suspense, but it is highly regarded as an original hard science fiction work, which has become rare in recent years. It is a difficult work to follow the storyline unless you think about the complicated development of the story, but it is also highly addictive, which is why it has received such a high evaluation.

Thus, while the above two works received a large number of votes (more than 500 each), the other works received less than 100 votes each. However, even though the number of votes was not that great, there seemed to be many unexpectedly good works among this season's animations.

First, in third place, "I don't want to be in pain, so I'm going to take a defensive stance." (nicknamed "Houfuri"), which came in third, and "Rikekoi" (nicknamed "Rikekoi "), which came in fourth. (The sixth-placed "Koisuru Asteroids" is also a so-called "Kirara-style" work, but it is more representative of the recent "YuruCan △" and other such works. It is also a "Kirara-kei" work, but it has been well received as a well put-together work as a heartwarming club activity work, similar to the recent "Yuru Can△" and other such works.

However, the work that showed a unique quality among this type of works was the 7th-ranked "I' ll die if my guess goes to Budokan " (affectionately known as "My guess Budo"). Although it did not fare as well as the seventh-place entry in this year's poll, it was a masterpiece that told a heartwarming story of an underground idol group in Okayama and the wotas, or fans, who support them, along with a lot of laughs.

On the other hand, "Hanako-kun," in fifth place, and "Darwin's Game," in ninth place, were two works with a slightly harder atmosphere based on comic books. Jishibai Shonen Hanako-kun" was produced by Lerche, known for "Danganronpa" and other works, and has the same comical yet mysterious atmosphere as "Danganronpa". Darwin's Game" is a so-called battle royale game between differently skilled players, but the suspenseful elements of mutual combat and betrayal that are typical of this type of work are superb, and it can be said that this work was highly evaluated for keeping viewers interested until the end.

In seventh place, "HIQUE! TO THE TOP" is a sequel to the popular "HIQUE! is a sequel to the popular "HIQUE! Although a few of the main cast members were changed, which was a bit disappointing to fans, the quality of the production was as stable as you would expect from Production I.G., and fans enjoyed it.

In addition, although it came in at a rather low ranking of 10th place, the NHK broadcast of "Don't Mess with the Video Lab! aired on NHK, is, in a sense, the most noteworthy work among this season's anime productions. Directed by Masaaki Yuasa, whose works such as "Ping Pong the Animation" and "Yonjohan Shinwa Taikei" have always created a stir with their unique style, this work showed the fun of animation production to such an extent that it is likely to be talked about in the future as a masterpiece that pushed the Yuasa world even further! The OP theme song by chelmico is currently very popular, and has created a movement that is representative of the January-March period in many ways.
