On April 10, 2020, following the announcement by Aoni Productions that she had tested positive for the new type of coronavirus the day before, Yamashita also made an announcement on her Twitter.
He said that he had not gone out at all and stayed at home after experiencing abnormalities in his sense of taste and smell.
