A review of "Resident Evil RE:3," a full remake of the classic survival horror game that has been revived after 21 years!

Resident Evil RE:3 (RE:3), which went on sale on April 3, 2020, is a full remake of Resident Evil 3, which was released on PlayStation in 1999. In this article, we will provide a review of the classic survival horror game that has been revived for the first time in 21 years on current consoles.

The new "Step" and "Emergency Evasion" features in "Resident Evil Resistance" will help you conserve ammunition. In "RE:2," as in "RE:3," players had to keep track of the number of bullets they had left. However, because Leon and Claire move slowly and the zombies are fast, it was very difficult to move behind the enemies and weave through the gaps between groups, as in the original story. In "RE:3," the zombies are highly mobile, but even if they try to grab you, you can often escape by hitting a series of steps. In addition, although the timing is a bit tight, if you succeed in emergency evasion, you can certainly shake off the enemy, and if you hold your gun up, everyone but you will be in slow motion, giving you a chance to counterattack. Players can choose whether to run away to conserve ammunition, or to think about coming back to the same place and taking them down, in the style of "Resident Evil" of the PlayStation era or "Resident Evil 4" or later.

Like "RE:2," the overall difficulty level of this title is a bit high, but in addition to the standard "STANDARD" difficulty level, there is also an "ASSISTED" difficulty level that offers benefits such as the possession of an assault rifle, aided aiming, and automatic recovery of lowered stamina up to a certain level, allowing players to play according to their own skills. The game can be played according to the skill level of the player. In particular, emergency evasion is high-risk and high-return, so it is a good idea to start by getting used to ASSISTED, where you take less damage from the enemy.

The camera angle in "Resident Evil 3" was fixed, but in "RE:3," the camera is set to follow Jill from a third-person perspective. In other words, you cannot see behind you. If you move the viewpoint, you can see her, but then you cannot see in front of her, so you may run into obstacles or walls, which is not an easy task. When Nemesis is chasing you, you can't see her, but only hear her footsteps or her roar, "S.T.A.R.S.......," which amplifies your fear. Unlike the Tyrant, Nemesis runs, so you can't let up even for a moment. Even if you attack and bring it to its knees, it will only be a stopgap measure, and in a short time it will completely recover. However, if you can drive Nemesis into a corner by inflicting heavy damage on it at certain times, you can obtain custom parts for your gun. Although Nemesis wears a bulletproof coat, its weak point is its heart, which protrudes from its body, so if you want to fight it, you should concentrate your attack on it with a shotgun or other high-powered weapon. If you can evade Nemesis' attacks, you will not need to use herbs or first-aid sprays. Consider whether or not you will fight based on the number of ammunition you have left, the weapons you have, and your play skills.

The sight of a huge body of more than 2 meters approaching at full force is truly terrifying!

For Nemesis, whose mission is to eliminate members of the Raccoon City Police Special Forces "S.T.A.R.S.," Jill is a top priority target. No matter how badly he is wounded, he will not stop the pursuit until he is dead. This thrill can only be experienced by those who have actually played the game.
