The original work is based on the full-scale mystery novel "Takkubotori Tanteitokoro" (written by Kei Ii, Sogen Sueiri Bunko), which won the 3rd Sogen Sueiri Short Story Award. For the anime adaptation, Shinpei Ezaki, who directed "Monster Strike The Movie: To the Place of Beginning," is the general director, and Taku Kishimoto, who worked on the series composition for "Hi-Q! and Taku Kishimoto, who worked on the series composition of "HIQUE! The police come to Kyosuke's room. They say that Otaki, a female prostitute at Hananoya, has been murdered. Takuboku's testimony that he saw Kyosuke in Otaki's room leads them to suspect Kyosuke as the murderer. Takuboku comes home drunk, and Kyosuke questions him, but Takuboku refuses to take the matter up with him.
