A spin-off work of "Hataraku Cell" serialized in "Morning", "Hataraku Cell BLACK", will be adapted into a TV anime in January 2021, and the first PV and key visual, as well as the main staff and main cast have been announced.

Hataraku Cell" is a manga work by Akane Shimizu, serialized in Monthly Shonen Sirius (Kodansha). The TV anime will be broadcasted from July 2018, and the production of the second season has been decided.

The TV anime adaptation of "Hataraku Cell BLACK," a spin-off of "Hataraku Cell," depicts the harsh working environment of cells working in a body that has been turned BLACK due to stress and inactivity caused by drinking, smoking, lack of sleep, and other factors.

The anime adaptation will be directed by Hideyo Yamamoto, who has worked on "Strike the Blood" and other works, and will be produced by Raiden Film.

The main cast includes Junya Enoki as the red blood cell, Yoko Hikasa as the white blood cell (neutrophil), and Kenjiro Tsuda as the narrator.
