One-Punch Man" to be made into a live-action movie in Hollywood? Script written by the "Venom" duo, with a series in the works?

The U.S. news site Variety reported that Sony Pictures of the U.S. is planning to make a live-action film of "One Pan Man.

One-Punch Man" is an anime work based on a web manga (original story by ONE and Yusuke Murata) serialized in "Tonari no Young Jump". It is an action-packed depiction of the daily life of a hero who has lost his passion because he has acquired such overwhelming power that he can defeat any strong enemy with a single punch.
The staff of the first season, which aired from October to December 2015, includes director Shingo Natsume (Space Dandy), series composition by Tomohiro Suzuki (TIGER & BUNNY), and character design by Osamu Kubota (From the New World). Animation production is by Madhouse; production of the second season was announced in September 2016, with the second season currently airing from April 2019.

When the English version published by VIZ Media was released in the U.S. in 2015, the first and second volumes were New York Times bestsellers in manga, and the work has been so popular overseas that it was nominated for the "Eisner" and "Harvey" comic awards in the United States, A live-action Hollywood adaptation is finally in the works.

According to Variety, the screenplay will be written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, who worked on the "Venom" movie. Production will be handled by Arad Productions, the production company of Avi Arad, who has also worked on the "Spider-Man" film series.
