This "creature creation work comedy" depicts the process of creating creatures as the angels, designers, and engineers, who serve as liaison with God, search and struggle day by day.

The angels and designers are troubled by the sometimes contradictory orders from a selfish God. The work delightfully depicts the challenges of creating various creatures with outlandish ideas and creative designs in response to impossible orders, such as "animals that can eat leaves from very high places" and "cute and not-so-cute creatures. The work has attracted a wide range of fans, young and old, male and female.

This time, "Tenchi Souzou Design Department" will be adapted into an animated TV series.
