Fender Music releases the 2020 EVANGELION ASUKA TELECASTER, an Asuka-designed telecaster.

Fender Music will release the Asuka-designed Telecaster "2020 EVANGELION ASUKA TELECASTER" in mid-July 2020 to commemorate the release of "Shin Evangelion the Movie". (excluding tax).

This product is a Japanese-made model created under the "FENDER x ASUKA TELECASTER Project" launched in 2013. It will be manufactured to commemorate the screening of the latest "Shin Evangelion the Movie," which has been highly anticipated by fans. Shin Evangelion the Movie" was scheduled to be released on June 27, 2020 (Saturday), but the release has been postponed due to the new coronavirus.

The body color of this model is based on a gradation of red. The body back is decorated with black parallel lines, and the original pickguard is designed to resemble a plug suit in red, green, or black. The nut is a custom-made red color, inspired by the interface worn on Asuka's head. Symbolic features of Asuka's character and Evangelion works are sprinkled throughout.

In addition, mechanical looking aluminum tone pickups are used for the pickups. Aluminum tone pickups are less likely to crush bass and produce a clear, crisp sound despite their low noise. The parts are unified in a heavy matte black color. The neck plate is engraved with the "Special Agency NERV" logo and a three-digit edition number assigned to each product.

In addition, the model comes with an ABS MOLDED hard case, a sticker for the hard case, and an original certificate of certification. The original certificate of authenticity features a drawing of Asuka with the Telecaster by Kazuya Tsurumaki, director of the "Rebuild of Evangelion" series.
